RE: Expected trading volumes on news?13 Oct 2025 15:48
Agree with your sentiments xviolet and you are right to be cautious, this could be a slow burn and that is what history tells us in Pharma especially with IMM for like two decades but something tells me this is coming to a head now with the positioning of the board, promotions and extremely positive public sentiment from Tim on his calls. It would be hard to be that confident on thin air and I don't see him twitching too much or looking shifty on the calls (quick glances up/down etc whilst recalling half truths which are quite common tells). The "dont put words in my mouth" exchange was interesting and had me a bit concerned like he didnt want it on the record but I think that might be because the inference of withholding info on a deal would be RNS sensitive.
I think the fact the Market cap is still "sensible" suggests a lot of caution in the wider market ("we hate AIM its rotten" - which it is from personal experience!) and certainly no mania here yet, but also the general herd doesn't really believe it till it sees it, so might be a lot on the side-lines.
If you look at past share price rises and other companies with transformative news the big rise is always on the news (provided it is validatory) not before. It takes time for mania and re-rates to develop. In this case, you, me and everyone else is thinking something like "ok...is this too good to be true?" which is fair enough - we all worry that all day right having sunk our pennies in? I think if a decent deal is done, there will be milestones to eek out more gains for the patient amongst us but go back to my point earlier of a bird in the hand being worth more than two in the bush so most PIs will be off on the big news if it comes especially if the cash up front is enough for liftoff. But only if there is enough buying to soak up the shares at a high price which was my original point.
Also, left field but a total cash take out would save the pharma company a lotttt of hassle and royalties provided they truly believe in P140 but they really would have to believe and fear competitors to go all in with cash so not the most likely outcome sadly. Overall I take your point on share price being between 0 and infinity but I find it hard to believe Tim hasn't got something up his sleeve or a gun to his head to sound THAT bullish on the calls. He was pretty unambiguous in his choice of language. Lets hope for some kind of clarity in the next month or so that something tangible is occurring. I've gone in quite big on this as a gamble so if it works, fab, if it goes level oh well and if it fails well at least I was in the game and got some excitement and more life wisdom..(ugh! lols)
