There’re two 367000 shares buys 247p yesterday. I thought that was Sir RDH. But no RNS
Agree, or Hyve will become a takeover target.
Thanks Thomson, looking forward to see the prices for next year.

Thanks rupans, what a surprise! Hope no big bad news coming soon.
Just checked saga cruises on there website, available cruises are 25, down from 29 I checked 2 days ago. Maybe those fully refunded rebooked.
But question is why we are 3% down when others 5% up? Looks someone selling. Sometime it’s really weird.
Does anyone know when 2023 cruises start for sale? Is it normal no information about 2023 cruises by now? Thanks
Banbury, it’s a bit weird, No news from other website. So, I am not sure it’s real. Also, hope the market already priced in this 10m if it’s real. Gla
Just seen this:
The Spirit of Adventure set sail from England on 22 February, but has now been forced to turn back because the strict Covid-19 entry rules at the Caribbean destination.
A spokesperson for Saga told LADbible: “Sadly, we have been unable to continue with our current cruise to the Caribbean.
“While the limited number of guests with Covid are asymptomatic or have only very mild symptoms, the strict entry requirements in the Caribbean meant we took the difficult decision to return to the UK.
All guests are being given a full refund.
We want to thank all our guests, who have been very understanding of the decision we have taken and appreciative of the levels of service we have maintained, thanks to the hard work of our crew.
“The safety of our guests and crew is our number one priority and we value the long-term relationship we have with them.
“We, like everyone else in the cruise industry, are learning to live with Covid and we look forward to welcoming our guests back on another cruise in the near future."

Hope that’s the reason saga sp down 13% last Friday, full refund of this 35 days trip and costs may worth 10million pounds?
Broker likes it.
Numis - which has a 'buy' rating on the stock - called the trading statement “solid”, noting: “Overall we think this update shows Saga’s business is going to plan, underpinning our thesis that a recovery in cash flow will drive deleveraging and transfer value from debt to equity, with the current enterprise value of £1.1bn (£747m debt, £393m equity).
“We reiterate our bullish stance, with upside of 63% to our target price of 460p.”

“ expected to make a small Underlying Loss Before Tax for 2021/22” it’s same as broker’s forecasts. So, nothing too bad, this business will recover this year.
I have checked saga profit forecasts from HSBC investment. 31/01/22 2.11m lost, 65.78m in profit 31/01/23, 83.49m profit 31/01/24.
I have no ideal why broker still forecast saga going to loss 2.11 m this year? The 2nd half must be a lot better than 1st half. Hope they’re wrong.
I believe there are many more smaller short positions which less than 0.5% each. That’s why sp dropped so fast. We need those short close and some ii purchase. The future is bright!
Agree with you beachbum, saga always do something no one understand.
From travel weekly: Saga will work with “a smaller” number of agents to enable the operator to “build stronger relationships” with those partners.
The cruise and escorted touring company for the over-50s outlined changes to its business in a statement issued on Wednesday (January 19).
It said the changes had been made to “ensure we are delivering the holidays our customers want”.
“As part of this, we are moving to work with a smaller group of trade partners to enable us to more closely collaborate and build stronger relationships,” Saga said.
“This is all part of our strategy to build a more agile travel business, delivering the quality holidays that our customers want.”

Interesting why saga do this now, I feel it’s a bit too early. What you guys thinking? Gla
Congratulations, Banbury. Sorry I didn’t post anything or talk to you guys recently, I really have nothing to say other than “wait”, I told myself to keep quiet til saga back to 400p. All your posts are still good as before, thanks! Wish you and Mrs Banbury merry Xmas! Gordon
Interesting to see how they get that a few hundred millions pounds to pay money 20/20. Sky news reported 250m PIPE with Carlyle five months ago, all those may linked.
I think there is bigger plan than buying money20/20.
Will be a trading update next Jan, then full year results in April. Share price about 10% behind other travels in recent trading days, looks someone still selling. The problem is current low vol, hope vol getting higher soon. Gla
Nice tree shake this morning. The results was no surprise nothing so good nothing too bad. I think the share price movement still depend on covid in next 12 months. Fingers cross, hope our ships will sail as planned. Looks market was right, current year profit 20-30m, next year around 80-90m. There are good chance we make profit more than 100m if covid under control. Than saga should worth 1b market value. Let’s wait. Gla
Cheers Rox, I know there are many reasons for someone to sell. Just curious why they selling before result. Hope they didn’t plan to sell all holdings, that may take a month. Gla
