RE: Waiting on update8 Nov 2024 06:50
Hi VF. " Selan not hanging around"? Well, it doesn't exactly feel like they are in a tearing hurry to me. The deal was finally closed on 1st August, so by the time workovers commence at the end of this month ot early next that will be four months gone by with nothing happening. At least we know that they have to complete the whole programme by 18 months from 1st August,so that is something. Of course, that's if it's not extended to 2 years, which is allowed " in certain circumstances". By the time the workovers commence it will br more than 9 months since the jv was announced.
" Look at us investing thousands and know nothing in the grand scheme of things."
Investing thousands ? Are you having a laugh ? Syn invested many, many millions. As Oilex, eay back in 2014 they spent a ridiculous 30 million usd on drilling c77h which was the reason they fell out with gspc. Then the refrac and jet pump cost around 3 million.
Know nothing ? Whilst Selan’s local knowledge of Cambay will undoubtedly be invaluable, It's Syn who bring to the table the improved fracking methodology as recommended by the Baker Hughes/Schlumberger report of 2017 and demonstrated by the refrac.
Selan are a great fit as a partner but they certainly couldn't have done it without Syn's input. After all, there has never previously been any commercially successful fracking in India.
