I assume that once workovers or new wells are up and running Syn will pay 50 % of the operating costs and receive 50% of oil and gas sales revenue.

Callum. How much do you think would be paid for 50% of an early stage scheme which has been rejected by a major player in the field?

Doesn't seem long since people were saying what a fantastic price it was in the low 0.1's. Pretty sure someone said there would be a stampede if it went to 0.05.

Sausage. I said in my post they would have to stop production but it's so low, it's neither here nor there.

Am I the only one who thinks it odd that they are leaving the workover on c77h until last. I asked this question in the Investor Meet and the reply was that this was because it was producing and they didn't want to take it off production. Well it was producing something like a piddling 0.15 mmscfd so why not just get on with reinstating the plug and isolating the old zones? Some time ago they mentioned increasing the size of the production tubing to make it easier for the pump to move the water. Again we have heard nothing.

Meant to add. Yes the increased costs for Medway are a concern. Again they could tell us more details on that.

Crusty, as you say, would it hurt them to tell us a little more about each workover? Exactly what they are doing,what was produced previously and what they are hoping for now.

GW. Of course there are ifs and buts. That's the whole point. Nobody knows. I am genuinely interested in what people think.

As for averaging down, I said only yesterday that I am undecided.

Realistically in terms of an sp boost can we expect from the workovers ?

My initial thoughts were not much, given that any production/income we get from them has little bearing on what we will hopefully get from the new wells. The possible exception is c77h, but even there, as Roland has pointed out, this depleted well will bear little relation to production of new wells in virgin rock.

However, thinking about it a bit more, part of the reason for the dramatic drop in sp could be due to people thinking that the lack of income until the new wells come on stream, will mean more raises will be needed ? So if that fear is removed by some decent income in the interim, could it mean some sort of recovery in the near to medium term.

If we could get back to near 0.10 pre the new wells that would be great.

All speculation really and trying to be positive for once. Thoughts anyone ?
