RE: RNS....5 Jun 2025 13:38
Hi DP. My conviction hasn't suddenly changed. Oddly enough it's ebbed away with plummeting share price.
I first bought into Oilex in 2015 at 2.5p.
By late 2020 I had an average of 0.32 and the sp was about 0.06. We had no idea what was going on with regard to gspc selling their share of Cambay to their preferred bidder. We assumed the sale had fallen through but had heard nothing for many months. Then out of the blue we learnt Oilex were buying gspc's share and against all expectations I got out for a modest profit at 0.4.
When the sp fell to the mid 0.2's it felt like good value so I got back in. In the last year and a half I have quadrupled my stake from 10 to 40 million at prices from 0.08 down to, in February 0.045. Each time thinking it couldn't go any lower.
I now have 40 million at an average of 0.092.
At current prices another 20 million would get my average to around 0.068. Not sure it's worth the risk but will wait and see.
Of course you are right the assets are still in the ground. That has never been the issue. The issue has always been getting it out at a commercial flow rate. Roland has always said that a horizontal fracked well needs 2 mmscfd for that.
This week's news, whilst welcome in confirming dates for the new wells haven't slipped further, doesn't change the fact that everything depends on those flow rates later this year.
