The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
It really is not helpful to have two posters trading insults with each other. Surely the forum is for constructive opinions about the holding in question; in this case Hummingbird Resources. Let us all be nice please.
Your predictions seem to be coming true. As you say - best to sit tight
Carribean, good to hear your strategy I should have jumped from HUM at 40p, but the greed got me and overpowered reason. My plan now is to sit it out and hope for the best this year. Your plan for CORA seems rational, but the sp is still dropping. Again I sit and hope. Lucky for me my main interests are outside gold which keeps me in the black overall. Touch wood.
Carri thank you for your observations. I must say I don't pretend to have any depth of knowledge on the subject. i took a pretty big punt on both HUM and CORA relying only on hope based on the reasoning that in 1988 I visited Mopti and Timbukto in eighties on a surveying project and Mali seemed a nice friendly place. Not great reasoning!
Cora seems to be dead in the water. Was full of hope but now seems to be following the downward trend of HUM. Is it possible that there are regional political difficulties which are suppressing development?
I've been in HUM for five years; enjoyed watching it in the 40's and despaired when it was below 10. Hard to bail out now as my paper losses are too great. Patience is tested but can only wait and see. Always considered this a long term investment - I know little or nothing about trading - but if the sp recovers and I'm in the black again I doubt if I'll stay in much longer. Hey ho.
For general interest I have located the mine on Google Earth. It is 15.8 kms along the gravel road west of Anza. The imagery is dated 17 October 2017 and the co-ordinates of the existing Gypsum mine are: 6.307639 degrees N and 75.93512 degrees W. Some workings and stockpiles are clearly visible.
DrRemington, assuming the co-ordinates are correct, it is unlikely that you will see anything on Google Earth as the latest imagery for that region is from 2011. I suspect that pre-dates the establishment of the camp.
Simms45, I believe it to be true that according to Sharia Islamic law the charging and paying of interest is forbidden. Therefore no such thing as low interest loan. I suspect charging fees, however, is legal
Am I right in assuming that there have been no trades for a couple of days. If so why is that?
It appears that my chart prediction of a few weeks ago of 7p by the end of January is coming to pass. Very sad for me as I have all my eggs in this one basket amounting to thousands of chickens if they hatch. I do have, however, a strong belief that the eggs may not be fertilised. Too late to sell as I'm at an average of 34p so my hen will just have to stay on the basket and hope for the best in the long run
Tomcorvid couldn't see why HUM is not at the conference next week. Anglo Asian isn't there either. It seems to me that there are no AIM companies represented. Perhaps, regardless of their success, they are considered unimportant and without influence and are not invited.
Ricky might be right - I've suggested twice before that if the trend on the chart is to be believed - the sp will be down to 4p by the end of January. That will be good time to buy. I hope I'm up the pole as I'm heavily into this at 34p
I'm no expert (clearly) but according to my projection of the share price chart the shares will be down to 4p by the end of January 2019
Well I must say my initial post stirred up a great deal of opinions, observations and facts. I've learned a lot and really have no choice but to stay in. Like GoldenBull I'm in with well over £100k but at around 34p. From all I've read below it seems patience is the key. Opinions suggest that a takeover would benefit P.I's and alternativelyif there isn't one eventually the market will see the value in the company.. As you will deduce, I am a neophyte in these matters.
Please help relieve my ignorance - anybody. Of course I cannot understand how such a nice looking company has a share price languishing in the doldrums but what will the effect of a takeover be? Will this not bring the sp down further?
Will the private investors lose, or gain?
I've been in this for a couple of years and what I see on the chart is a downward trend from Nov 17 which seems we will be at 23p by November this year. My break even is 34p so I'm not feeling comfortable. All I can do is hope that soon the market will notice that the goals reached so far mean something
I agree with Notperfect. I cannot believe the board with such a great record of keeping promises is about to embark on some hopeless adventure. I trust their reasoning. I trust their promise to make Yan a great success for shareholders in the medium term.
