Patel my bad I read your post wrong... I found a article saying Kenya book value was written down for tax purposes by $410m to the $256m stated in the last update.. although says will be worth significantly more upon successful FID and production licence.. previous yearly results state various tax allowances figures dependent on oil prices at the time etc for exploration costs associated with Kenya, some of these figures are in excess of $1b for their 50% share. In the 2020 results the total write down costs are there for sale of Uganda, do with the sale price of $575m, there was a impairment write down from memory of over $300m, although with the royalty associated payments, over time a significant sum will be achieved. I do believe Kenya will attract higher amount than Uganda if successful.
