Biotechs are tending to leave UK and list in US. There was a recent article in Times about it. I think the trend to delist and relist outside the UK is due to brexit. Which is great news for those who voted for brexit as it means less foreign investment in UK.
Gdr have funding..funding from RF until september.
"please advise why a delisting would be good for the long term ?"
Stability and slow growth, instead of chasing funding each year they might find investors appreciate long term investment strategy. The directors and ii's have done very well out of PI's funding GDR over the years, mind you. I just feel that GDR has ran out of road with its sticks and carrots. Full nice approval of stroke marker this summer and an good monthyl income is the bare minimum GDR need to find another ii. I can see why you think GDR is a good investment at 6p if you believe they will turn their fortunes around, but the market never lies, it has heard many empty promises over the years.
I suspect GDR will delist. Doesn't have to be a bad thing in the very long term. But short term traders will be livid , no doubt.
"No company hires a director if the are about to go under"
Yes they do, GDR replaced the CEO .
They were both hired to stop GDR going under, Mr Tiger. I suspect you've alot invested in GDR, perhaps too much. Time will tell.
" I am not desperate and nor am i a ramper.. this is far the best choice of stock right now on the market ..."
Really funny comment, Mr Tiger. I'm either laughing with you or at you. However, I fear you were not being sarcastic when you wrote that.
It will take years to get FULL nice confirmation for AIHL there are at least 2-3 years left, former CEO said it would take 3-4 years. Full nice confirmation opens the gateway to full contract with entire NHS and not just one-off contracts that GDR are struggling to close at the momeny). I imagine the stroke marker will also take years to gain FULL NICE approval.
"GDR has shown many times that you just can't rely on the NHS or NICE or any medical bodies to move the way you might expect or at anything other than glacial pace. IMHO Cheek will be desperate to get some financial security from somewhere, anywhere other than RF."
That's what Mr Cheek explained during the last presentation... NHS, NICe, testing is slow, RF deal is awful and seeking better financing options so that drawdowns are not needed.
Delisting GDR is not off the table, otherwise Mr Cheek would've stated it in answer to the question, as delisting GDR would be a bad thing, at least for most if not all of the PI's listening to the presentation.
Mr Cheek was far too optimistic when he said GDR are in a brilliant place - the financial situation is the worst ever.. But I do agree the products GDR is attempting to commercialise are their strongest yet. Lets hope an ii agrees, a share diultion is immentent and over a years worth of funding is raised soon.
"We all need to relax , the placing is already done and the shares are on board now ...this wont drop under 5p ..."
Mr Tigger, I fear you've posted on the wrong chat site. This is GDR caht site. GDR are currently financed by a death spiral deal with RiverFort and are currently seeking alternatives, as the CEO said they have found none so far.
"I just hope the board buys shares to show how they believe in it."
Hit the nail right on the head Mr Jam. If GDR is not good enough for the CEO and CFO to buy shares at this current price, then its not good enough for me.
"Cheek and Russ have created this fall."
What fall???!!! This time last week GDR traded for 3.3p.
Pi's are so ungrateful.
‘’ The committee noted that one of the centres in the
PALOH study now routinely tests all babies on admission to the NICU. But it said that individual centres should decide which babies to test depending on local knowledge of what proportion of babies go on to receive aminoglycosides.’’
This suggest PALOH study did not previously test all babies on admission to NICU but I wonder why PALOH study now routinely tests ALL babies. Thats of course good news for GDR revenues but bad news for NHS budgets if they are testing when it is not necessary. Creating unnecessary expense is never a good thing in the long term and usually someone gets in trouble and/or contracts get terminated.
Mr Porsch, Thanks for posting . Very interesting point of view.
"they are bound to have ii's knocking on the door with these 2 great products for a piece of the action..." not whilst RF deal is still around. The deal with RF has made it very difficult for ii's to get involved at all.
One of the very interesting answers Mr Cheek gave was when he was asked about whether they had considered taking GDR private. He said it was a very good question, paused and added he didn't wish to talk about the subject. Makes me think of whats happened to REDX . However, unlike REDX I suspect the main shareholder base for GDR are PI's and that no ii's are involved any more (RF is not an ii).
- next week they should announce a new contract for AIHL.
- AIHL is no longer considered GDR's main product, but CYP2C19 is.
- 1.5M is available but they'd rather not use it (I assume then they have permission from RF to drawdown, although they didn't specify that part of the contract that says that if the SP is below 16p RF must give permission for drawdowns).
- burn rate is increasing and was 421k per month @ dec 23 . so probably 425k per month now. So 1.5M gives GDR until start -mid Sept before it stops as an ongoing concern
- Mr Cheek did not want to tell us anything about any discussions that may or may not have taken place about turning GDR into a private company. Which suggests to me that it is not off the table.
Mr Cheek "everything is looking great for us... ".
.....
Mr guy, I think WE do have a clue. A share dilution in some form is a best case scenario but with RF death spiral financing still in the picture and a relatively low SP I'm assuming a share dilution will provide but a years worth of funding. Thats my best case scenario. But who knows... sales are key, perhaps Mr Cheek will announce new contracts in 30 minutes.
They even argue amongst themselves. Caravan will have departed before EOD leaving stragglers behind.
