Hadn't really thought about a placing for an acquisition as I thought we were finished with that last time. At least it wasn't at a massive discount.

I expected the SP to remain above .75 after the recent activity and news. It may be that due to the history of the company, the market is waiting for actual confirmation of sustained production figures. Once we have reports on the oil being generated and Mayan receiving funds, this should get the SP moving. The plant at AR is reported to be producing and the commissioning is being finalised. We have other fields and gas that should be getting worked on so plenty of news still to come. Not sure if we will meet the bopd targets that Eddie was aiming for but we are in a much better place now than we were a year ago. I think the final results are due this month, so people may be taking a position on what picture that may paint. That would be to April and there has been some movement since then.

We should soon find out if Lombard intended to keep hold of their 10% or if they have continued selling.

Chartists will have noticed the cup formation completing. Where the SP goes now may depend on any news flow.

Not sure when the AGM is but that is when the consolidation will be decided. Pretty sure it will go ahead as the SP is so low and they need room for price fluctuations. 1000 for 1 is not impossible but possibly closer to 500.

Annual accounts will be published by the end of the month. I don't expect it to make good reading as the placing and recent investment took place after April. The bottom line in this report could look quite stark but at least we know we will be getting an update soon.

So the plant is now complete and they are doing the commissioning tests. The article in the paper had said they were 2 weeks in to a 7 week testing phase, so that pretty much ties in with the grand opening at the end of September. There will be some extraction going on during this time, so Mayan will be getting about 1.4% of whatever that is. I would expect production to be gradually increased to within 15% of the target until sustainable production is achieved. The last quarter news should demonstrate what success has been made and also how they intend to progress the following year.

I thought I could only invest in ftse shares with my isa. Something to explore when I get more fundage. I appreciate the advice. Hopefully MYN will have some fundage to invest in anything worthwhile that ADL come up with. If the plant comes online and we start generating some income soon, the next year could prove very interesting indeed. They are about to do a consolidation and had a Placing in April, so not sure they could get the funds for their proposed 49% interest without a struggle.

Consolidation is usually seen as a negative by investors and often a last resort to get the SP back to a recognisable value. Downward pressure on the SP is often followed, so while the consolidation process itself has no impact on the Market Cap there is usually a fall in the SP - although 30% may be a bit extreme. Not sure what the minimum SP permitted on AIM is but this may have been a factor in the decision. Something else to bear in mind is that although they may be looking to invest in some fields, they did a placing in April to get £600k. This I doubt would buy 49% of the site mentioned which would mean they need to raise more money if they so intend making a purchase. Possibly another reason for the consolidation. At least they aren't waiting on Panoro and are being proactive now. The SP was higher even just a couple of months ago so the current level is not that much of a stretch. The question of where it goes from here will depend on investor sentiment as the company is still not generating an income and won't be for some time going by the current information we have. There may be some short term price fluctations based on rumour or even a purchase but IMO until the company starts generating a sustained income and starts the power generation with Panoro, they will be reliant on the PI's proping up the company. This is still a high risk share and will require a few more years to prove itself. Current SP is not much more than the last placing price but can't see any reason for it to go to double that - especially when any new purchases will require funds we do not have right now. Not saying that you're wrong, but Mayan have only fairly recently been exposed to Forest Hill and Petroteq. Most of the LTH's here are just glad the company can be recognised as a horse - rather than what comes out of one. We are hoping that once the plant at FH is completed (imminent) and the Petroteq technology is applied to the site, then our share via Deloro will generate some stable income for the company. As I have my shares in an ISA, I wouldn't be able to invest in Petroteq anyway.

We may need a speeding ticket before we get any confirmation one way or another. If they didn't release the news this morning, I don't think any news was intended to be released today.

It has been quite a while, but does Mayan still have any agreements with Andalas ? Some rumours going around about bringing in a large oil field over there but may be a pump and dump. I think the last time Andalas was mentioned here was to point out that they were doing gas projects in Indonesia so Mayan would not be able to but in to the project.

Near term could mean anything tbh. As there have been so many RNS' about the project however I would hope that the plant is complete in Q3 and production begins before the new year. I am still trying to get a read on Eddie's interpretations for timescales and what would constitute good news / progress.

I hope they have some other pieces of news up their sleeve - even though the company did not dilute shareholders with placings when other companies were after the crash, it looks like we won't be generating any profits here for quite a while and may need to follow suit. Maybe the new guy didn't get the memo. Stratex has virtually no money, none of their projects will be generating income for a number of years. We need a short term strategy to finance the continuation of the company. Solution: Increase the number of shares in issue by over 50% and more long-term projects. Can't wait to hear the next interview from Tim.

I'm a little confused with that RNS. It may be at AR, but the land was bought by Petroteq, not Deloro. So Mayan don't gain anything by that news, do they?

I guess it depends on how it closes. It was below 6p at the start of the month and is up from there, but it looks like we are heading for the resistance point of 6.5p or heading towards 5p. Some news wouldn't go amiss. Preferably good news.

Agreed - wasn't expecting a repeat of last year, but thought they may have generated a bit more from sales. Costs still falling which is a positive. The report reads more like a sales brochure though and not much detail on the areas the company intend to target. Any information on existing or proposed orders, supply line or PPS' selling points would have been welcome. Are we selling all the units we can produce with a backlog of orders, or do we have units in storage and are investing in manufacturing in the hope that someone will buy? Need to work on their communication if they have any interest in their (other) shareholders.

Huge amounts being bought - and no ramping? What's going on with this? I bought back in just before it all kicked off, but was expecting a few weeks of stagnation after the consolidation, followed by some news on the short term projects that were being investigated.

Final results due any time now. I don't think we'll have achieved a profit, but hopefully the losses will have continued to reduce and sales are over �1.5m if not �2m for the year. We haven't had much news released by the company other than a new 4th Generation product line. Hopefully we'll have some more news on the Chinese market and any developments there, as well as any indications on the direction of the company. The news on the Surf and Turf project was good, but when it was mentioned on the news there were lots of business boards displayed, but no 'sign' of Proton Power/Motor. Still have hopes for the company, but very little information available, other than financials, on which to base an investment strategy.

I can just imagine the independent research being an article from Align. I just hope the annual report has more content in it than the last report that was issued.
