I don't believe he's an idiot :) - I'm not saying that at all - But you have to admit, he has a history of 'misleading' statements A4444.

My concern, having been invested here for some time and having an understand of the way Mr. Bird works is that it is 2. Unfavourable results are being held back.

I hope I'm wrong however, it is the way he's worked in the past. Good news/reasonable news is never held back!

That coupled with the fact that he does seem to be tempering his comments of late regarding us hitting 2MT with the open pit is concerning to me ATM. (A few months ago the 2MT trigger, in the open pit, was going to happen "absolutely" (his words) to more recently it's his "wish".

It was four months according to CE

Bird does seem to be dropping back to his default setting of promising and not delivering...Annoying. Where is the pit volume calcs with assay ranges we were promised months ago??

I also keen to see what the latest income from the alluvial. perhaps, finally, some income from the satellite hard Rock mines too!

There was short comment from one of the sunday roast interviewers a few days back stating CB had said very good news Inc early Jan..

After 7 years here it never ceases to amaze me the number of times Bird has given timelines and not met them, I just cannot fathom how he does not learn from this?!

He's mentioned that the Aussie Assay company would be working solely for us, for 4 months or so, such comments raise expectations that assays would be coming through faster. He then told CE, et al, that assays would be coming though every other day, one assumes he meant every other week but still some holes are months behind expectations.

I imagine this is equally frustrating for QH & JR too who are actually on the ground doing the work.....Colin; and I know I've said this before many times, why can't you just keep it shut until until you actually know what's going on?!

Indeed - and strange that he would 'resign' when he could have held on for a share of the 2% pay-out.

No mention of a replacement either (Which we had when Jeremy Resigned)

Some Telegram chat re: the interview. It will be released early Jan apparently.

One slightly worrying comment was from the interviewer stating that Ascot would be key to the 2MT target. CB has been stating for some time now that the open pit is a Tier-1 asset and will be the trigger for the AA agreement. To go back on those statements now, as A4444 has also mentioned, would really undermine CB's credibility. (it's pretty low for me as it is after 6/7 years here) - I hope that's not the case..

JR could also be over to visit the mine, in Finland?, that Bird talked about recently. As I recall they had lower average grades than we do and were making ~$300e6 a year.

Not so sure about that, how much work/involvement does CB actually have in terms of BR. I imagine 95% of the work there is carried out by Mr. Reed & Dr. Hills et al in Aus.

The problem, as I see it, A4444 is that why would AA (or anyone else) pay 12/15/20p+ etc when they could buy the whole company for ~10p. As I understand it the BoD has to put an offer for the company out to a shareholder vote. Who would vote against a low-ball offer of 10/12p if they got a payout in January?

I'd stopped putting any value in what Bird tells Zack many moons ago as....it's, almost always, over exuberance, rarely anywhere near what actually happens or even just plain BS.

In terms of what he says in the interview posted today, the big 2MT target being reached, I sincerely hope he not BS'ing us.
The statements made in that interview, and others, are far more wide reaching than the ones we got regarding income from Alluvials or HR operational timelines. Quite frankly it would be unforgivable.

I'm fully expecting an official statement shortly stating XTR has a 2MT+ Tier 1 mine up for sale....

While it's in my mind, can anyone recall what was the outcome of NEXUS suing us a few years back? - I's assume XTR would have to release a statement regarding this? (think it was for £150k?!)

Thinking back. Didn't CB say in an interview that he'd actually spoken to the minister of mines in person and that they knew exactly who owned the mine.

If it looks like a dud or will be not cost effective to get up and running, as some have suggested, then we should just dump it and move on.

It should have been bringing in income years ago anyway and it seems little progression has been made there for one reason or another.

Well, if nothing more it's maybe a lesson to the XTR BoD that Twitter is a reasonable forum to get the message across.

Perhaps more posts regarding the companies assets in the future.....
