WorldGoRound - seems to be working OK. Don't try phoning the helpline. I had issues with Online Share Dealing a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a young lady from the complaints department trying to tell me the problems were my fault as I hadn't done enough research into finding out how to find out information! (honestly!)
I'm still trying to locate the Complaints Department responsible for complaints regarding the Complaints Department. Life used to be so easy!

BBC reports that our beloved Mr Hammond says that the Government has launched the search for Carney's successor. Carney is to stay at his post until the end of January 2020.
'Mr Hammond said the seven-month extension would "support a smooth exit" from the European Union'. (comedians in positions of power here also!)

I'm often dismayed that whilst there is a 'Recommended' button on these BBs, there isn't a 'Disagree' button.

On the way home from visiting the other half of my family on the island in the Med, I stayed a few days in Spain with expat friends enjoying reds known in UK but at half the price. Best deal was a white I'd never heard of but was so like an Oz chardonnay I pay £7 for in UK at about £1.90 equiv. Why are we ripped off by govt taxes here on one of the few legal consumables that makes life seem almost tolerable in UK?

Halifax Online Share Dealing was offline for an hour or so this am. trying to find out if it was my equipment or theirs was an ordeal I won't bore you with. This digital lark and absence of real people may be good for Lloyds' overheads but it's **** service! I don't like investing in companies whose product is poor! I'm awaiting a response to my complaint, which by the way, was no easy task to make! I did have a laugh though at part of the procedure where their robot was asking me to prove I wasn't a robot! It's beyond 'you couldn't make it up' - it's reality!

Whoops, having said that, considering the past history of Lloyds buybacks, one wonders if they're wrong, in that the current rate of buyback isn't making the price per share more expensive than it otherwise may be. Just a thought.

I recall CathSoames being asked if she was related to the famous Soames family and she replied in the negative. CS was an ill mannered, ill tempered, harridan. I suspected that she posted from a shared PC as occasionally, a quite ordinary, almost civil post would appear, but I could always tell when CS was the poster as I would have a mental picture of a witch-like face with spittle oozing out of the corner of its mouth as I read them! Either that or she had multiple personalities (less likely)!

For that reason reason I don't believe CC is CS, the current posts are dribble, but lack the edge of poisonous spittle.

A day out in London, free for a lot of them, why not? Protesting freely, why not? Thing is, if the UK remains in the EU and people start protesting anti EU laws in the future, it won't necessarily be your UK bobbies/army policing the march. You can bet it will be the integrated EU police/army doing it. I'm sure the French/German contingent will be only too happy to extend the truncheon of friendship to UK (EU) citizens, as, no doubt, will the Spanish who showed their respect for their elders during the Catalan independence vote. Still, remainers know what they're after don't they?
