Having seen your reference to 'gammon' (I assume your spelling was purely error), I discovered many articles in various publications describe it's current use as being a predominantly left wing insult, potentially racist. I await with interest to see if the powers that be here are as strict with lefties posts as they are with those from more sensible posters.

Don't know what happened there. Posted my 09.13 yesterday and it's taken 24 hours to appear, meantime many of others Weds posts have disappeared!

Going for a day out in Scotland today, see if I can spot the better way of life/education in action. I will ask for 10% discount on everything I buy as being English, I've already paid the subsidy!

Sorry Newboy but Tricky is a treasure. Often split my sides laughing at his posts and even forgive him for the slurs he aims at my NE homeland - probably because I agree with most of them. You on the other hand have obviously had a sense of humour bypass and to come here at this stage of the game and try to preen your wee self to a mature (mostly) audience is pitiful to watch. Go away sonny, you're out of your depth!
PS - Original Mrs N had it right so many times. Odd world isn't it when the shareholders of the bank (Lloyds) that played such a big part in saving the UK financial system should be fined for the misdemeanors of some of the people (HBOS managers) who threatened to bring it down. What a crazy and unjust country we live in !

Zoros - I have seen your posts on this BB and on Lloyds and have always thought well of your posts. I've been surprised at the level of abuse directed at you in recent days on this BB when you have patiently and openly explained your trading in SOLG. I've welcomed your posts and found them more explanatory than most on here. For myself, I'm in this share for reward sooner now than later, as I would like to spend some of the gains before leaving it all to my children. Hope you made something out of the past few weeks - I held in, believing the big guys hadn't got it wrong, but I could do without this s**t from every little t**d who thinks their 'rights' supersede everyone else's!

A few years ago whilst in Norfolk, I visited Burnham Thorpe to pay homage to the national hero Nelson (I also often visit Collingwood's statue in Tynemouth living as I do not too far away - good ale houses in Tynemouth also) and there was then, the village inn (Lord Nelson I think) which dated back to before Nelson was born. They had a sign in the pub claiming that Nelson had his last meal in the inn before setting off to claim his command of the Fleet at the Battle of the Nile. Doubt if anything had changed in the pub since then and I sat at 'Nelson's' table for a drink. Often wonder if it's still there.
Note from Mick's article that his parents married at Beccles church. The church is unusual as it's bell tower is separate and at an angle to the main body of the church. Church knaves run East/West and the ground conditions were unable to take the foundations for the bell tower in what would have been it's normal position!
Norfolk and Suffolk have more about them of interest than some spoof sites would have us believe, though such sites can be worth an irreverent laugh!

If we have a case, it should be instigated now to put a burner up their backside! If we haven't got a case then I would like to know so I can finally bin this and move on!
