As we move into 2020 and the negotiations with EU about our future relationship, the result of which impacts Lloyds SP, it is imperative that BJ reasserts control over the Civil Service to stop the frequent leaking of plans and personal data which has been so prevalent over recent years. All Civil Servants are bound by the same Official Secrets Act yet it seems that only the lower ranks are dismissed, often with a loss of pension entitlements etc and often for relatively trivial offences, whereas those leaking high profile information or who are incompetent in senior management positions seen never to suffer in the same manner.
A few high profile walkings of the plank could well bring the rotten house into order and would, I feel, go down well with the man on the Clapham omnibus (here I show my age!). It would also serve us well with our EU negotiation being a united front against a disparate association of self interest.
Civil servants should be as their name suggests, civil and servile, and not to rise above their station.
PS If HMRC are reading this, I think you're lovely and do a great job under great duress and with little help! xx

I couldn't take PMQs with her bobbing up and down for all she's worth. a third rate actress, even worse as a politician and having failed her own 11 plus, elected to give her son a better chance by sending him to a partially selective school outside of her constituency. Like so many other of her Shadow Cabinet, a questionable Socialist as well.

What is it about these TV pundits? Don't they understand that people are voting against not for, ie voting out those MPs who didn't do what they were supposed to do for their constituents. People are regaining their voice! Sack the London centrics who think they know best!

BB - some folk (Mr T?) unfortunately take a position on a subject and refuse to explore any contrary opinion which may prove them to have been wrong. I know a number of similarly deluded individuals who refuse to even read the evidence available which proves JC's support for terrorists, dithering and lying over Brexit and refusal to acknowledge the existence of Anti-Semitism within his party.
Fortunately the markets seem happy that the majority of our voting populace think differently, which if translated into positive action next week can only be good for Lloyds and other financials' SP.

Interestingly (for me in the NE) in 1978 we had just enjoyed the 2 best summers I can remember - 75 & 76 - and a year later in 79 had the second worst winter I can recall, 63 being the worst. It's a sad state of affairs, but one can't help but assume that the BBC, along with the rest of the MSM, deny publicity to anyone challenging Climate Change and have used the 'National Icon' to further their cause.

So, no answers to my question of 09:50 yesterday. Well, I couldn't think of any bidding wars either, so any such occurrence seems highly unlikely. To me, this will exclude many of the dreamers SPs here, much though I would have liked them to happen, but I'm at a stage in my life where I wish to formulate my plans with a good dose of reality.
