Overall, this assay meets the sensitivity and specificity for MHRA TPP for POC assays, but
not the LLOD (in line with other POC non-extracted PCR assays that have been
assessed). However, there was marked variation in performance across testing sites. Care
should, therefore, be taken to understand local performance during local verification.

Check dna nudge validation reporting. It’s damming at the end. It’s on the gov U.K. website. I don’t think they are being used much at all. Actually I know they aren’t. The chosen platforms in hospitals is now Abbott samba 2 optigene and novacyt q machines

It is just nice there in black and white that the roll out continues so clearly business being done and phase 2 in whatever form has been activated, i know of other sites who have been rolling out to but nobody seems to want to put it in black and white!

Don't know the hospital process in terms of saying collecting the number of samples (remember the use in day care) and then running them say in windows. You don't get 16 people coming in all at same time.

How are they picking up the strains...different assays can be run on the machinery I spoke with the company. There are different points/areas and equipment in megalabs.

The government spokesperson said they hope that lfts would allow safe passage and those attending the events would not be infected or transmit but they accept lfts are not accurate hence why they want to use these tests events to see whether lft could mitigate risks or whether they would miss to many cases that lead to break outs of covid amongst spectators hence asking for pcr tests from all attendees after the event to see if there was transmission.
