RE: US Activ-2 Phase 3 now?24 Aug 2021 21:41
Matterhorn - i was just thinking about this again being a "replacement"....i do take comments made by poster saying oh i was told x by the company with a pinch of salt, they may well have been done but what else could the company say in reality? (this is for a new trial) (this is for US) I maybe reading too much into this but the job was only advertised last week......Just seems odd that you would bring in now a Senior Clinical research associate who in reality isn't starting the role until end of sept/beginning of October when master phase 3 synairgen trial is supposed to have ended if it was a "replacement for someone leaving" you would try to pass some of the work on to a colleague, hire a short term temp given the timeframes, lean on say the big player Parexel who have been running the trial for us, especially as all the work has basically been done and it would just then be a collection of day 30 and 90 data..... Where as this seems more than a "short term" hire and indeed permanent role. So unless we have a new trial starting, i struggle to see the role as anything but specifically for phase 3 activ-2 imo.
I know the activ 2 trial is run by NIAID etc.....however you still would in essence need a "project manager" of sorts synairgen side to oversee, make sure the deliveries are on time, where needed, keep track of documentation required, answer questions, especially as the trial is far larger scale to as phase 3 opens up data sharing/communication with the given pharma, decisions on dosage etc. who knows how accurate the job ad is.
Anyway just some further thoughts matterhorn as you seem a knowledgeable poster here.
