Me to...I entered far to soon ( 1425)and went short the dow to hedge my portfolio and just been stopped out...ouch I will now try and ascertain bottom and seek entry point on recovery for avg down..

If ex div date is the 9th you can sell on the 9th . The sp may retrace by the value of the divi on the ex div date

Fair point....but at the moment I am trading one third of our liquidity as I believe there will be a correction after such a long bull run...We opened three accounts and hopefully will receive £140+ per month with the cash back after fees..far greater than the poultry sum we were receiving..Whilst I have not bothered to change over the past 12 months being of a similar mind to your good-self I thought enough is enough..I will chase the interest..my delay cost me £1k plus GLA

Any chance you can tell me about the free shares ...I hold 1633 RDSB including the 633 BG...I take it we got the Divi on the BG shares as well.. BTW A profit is a profit so why not a quick 1%..well done

Linas: My understanding is that you have to have bought the shares by cob Weds 17th to qualify as share goes ex Divi on Thurs 18th Feb . I am looking at at GSK for 43p divi including special this Thurs Ex Div date ( and whilst FTSE indices has retraced this year from what I can see GSK has held its own) Hope this helps and GLA

Mike Thanks for that.. I bought 1400 BG mid Sept 2014 for 1238..so I guess notwithstanding Divis for the RDSB sp to climb back to 1850 ish Here's hoping and thanks again

Am I right that the price per share was for BG was approx 1550 when the deal was announced last spring ..I think we are far off that ...or do we just wait for the RDSB sp to recover before accepting losses...
