The troubles in the Donbass accelerated after the Ukrainians fight for freedom in 2014. Putin was arming the Russian separatists in the South Eastern part of Ukraine after Victor Yanukovych did a runner.
Human Rights organisations have stated that 125 people were killed. 65 people are still missing. 1890 people were treated for injuries during the fight for freedom in 2014.
Putin wants to install another puppet as the leader of Ukraine. Good luck with that Mad Vlad.
The current Russian regime are not politicians, they are a type of Mafia.
All that the Ukrainians want is independence. They don't want to be run by a police state. Is that too much to ask?
As for the Migs transferring from Poland to a US Air base in Germany.
My thoughts are that these planes should fly from Moldova who are not in NATO. Putin might go for Moldova next after Odessa anyway. Moldova might as well defend themselves before they are attacked.
My special thought is that we should go in and free Ukraine and then take Putin out. However, being 69 years old means that he's had a full life, therefore he has nothing to lose by ordering some nuclear attacks. I do wonder if the procedure for launching an attack goes through a long chain of commands before the button is pressed. Meaning, is the sanity of the current Russian leader questioned first.
