I personally don't think that it is.
It is not the boat people or trafficker's fault to be honest with you. The immigrants have had a look at France and have quickly concluded that the country is 5hit. Or is it? Or do they realise that once they step foot on British Land there is likely a 99% chance that they will spend the rest of their lives here. Job done. They are safe and they have touched down on to a country that is governed by people that will bend over backwards for them more than their home grown citizens. They'd better do or there will be trouble. Reason number one for wanting to risk their lives to cross the channel in a dinghy. Not really risked their lives though have they? Being escorted out of French waters by the French Navy (millions of pounds well spelt by our Government if you ask me). Then to be escorted by RNLI and Border Force when they reach English Waters. Magic wouldn't you say.
Anyway, not to worry. Another home secretary has handed her notice in today. Another FAILED Home Secretary. Talked a good game. Spent £millions, if not £billions of pounds to address our illegal immigration issue with the same end product. In fact, the problem has got worse under her watch. Never mind. She'll be alright. She'll have enough coffers in her own purse to live somewhere were she doesn't have to see this problem.
Wonder who the next Home Secretary is going to be to sort out the illegal immigration problem? Fingers crossed that he or she is good one...........LOL
