2reincarnated, what is your reason for being on this forum exactly ? Are you a shareholder in Lloyds ? Or are you just trying to talk Lloyds down for some other ulterior reason ?

The banks will take longer to recover from this due to the fallout down the line from loans that have gone bad to companies. Some companies will collapse and the banks will be exposed to impairment charges. It’s not exactly rocket science.

With current consumption levels at lows, even a 10mbpd production cut will not reduce global oil inventories.

The Russians are better placed than the Saudis and Americans to ride this out.

That meeting has been postponed till Thursday.

Global oil storage facilities are almost full whilst Russia unlike Saudi does not have a dollar peg. I wouldn’t bank on a recovery in the oil price anytime soon......

I think you’re misunderstanding it a little. FTSE 100 companies do trade using the SETs system where there is no need for MMs but a large number of trades are done outside the SETs system directly with MMs in the same stock. Quite often at the end of a days trading MMs will transfer shares between themselves so as to keep a smaller or larger position.

Your article even states that MMs hold a float of shares. SETs balance buy and sell orders that can be matched but do not account for all shares traded.
