Just delaying the inevitable. Rates will go up. The timing is the only variable.

There already is a wealth tax in place which is stealthy in nature. Freezing the thresholds for inheritance tax and Lifetime Pension allowance for 5 years is a huge wealth tax which will entrap more in its net every year assuming there is no stock market or housing market crash.

Someone had to pay for the pandemic, furlough etc etc and Sunak has been quite adept at disguising what is really going on. I've never voted Labour but the £37bn spent on track and trace has been a huge waste of taxpayers money that the Tories should be ashamed of.

Can’t see why M&S is being criticised. The turnaround plan is evidently paying dividend, evidenced by its latest figures and Archie Norman is a proven magician at turning companies around. Like TFE, am nicely in profit on these and hoping for further gains.

The simple answer is no TFE, they don’t stop moaning. They don’t want the base rate to rise from 0.1%, moan about inflation, moan about the COVID debt needing repaying and think that money grows on trees. They’re probably the same people who caused the needless problems at petrol stations recently through sheer stupidity……..

Covid has caused lung scarring (a form of fibrosis). I’m still able to play golf but some of the uphill holes leave me extremely breathless and it’s reached a plateau in terms of improvement. Yes, I was on a course of steroids called prednisolone for months earlier this year to suppress the inflammation. Hope all’s well with you.

Higher interest rates are coming in the next few months without doubt. Negative interest rates, predicted by some on here are not going to materialise.

As long as the rate rises are not excessive to put a lid on inflation, there is no reason why the economic recovery (assuming the sheep mentality morons have stopped their behaviour at the petrol stations) cannot continue with Lloyds able to benefit from bigger margins.

Not the old “where’s my dividend ?” furore again.

Got mine yesterday with AjBell. You’ll get it paid. Some trading platforms seem to be more efficient than others at processing dividends but you’ll get your money. One can always vote with ones feet and move broker if it becomes a source of constant irritation…….

Totally agree LTI. Makes me angry reading some of the stuff on social media. British Airways lost 4 pilots with a week recently. One had been in an American hospital for 9 months with Covid and died on his return to the UK from complications, one had a heart attack whilst out running, one died in a cycling accident and the other sadly killed himself I'm reliably informed. The ill-informed have swamped BA Twitter with their conspiracy theories that it’s all down to having been vaccinated. I despair sometimes of social media.
