Well, we require two consecutive quarters of GDP decline before the strict definition of a recession is met but that may well be on the way......
I can't see interest rates going to 15% again. The central banks would rather print money than let that happen. My own hunch is that if China suffers a large downturn which is entirely possible given their Covid lockdown policies, inflation will start to subside worldwide. The price of oil will fall due to reduced demand and OPEC will not want a world recession so will up production.
We shall see......
