Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Devil in the detail, but doesn’t look like it will have a big effect on GC UK wind
‘The Group enters this period of uncertainty with a significantly improved balance sheet position, with very low refinancing requirements following several years of debt reduction. However, given the macro outlook the board will defer consideration of capital allocation policy and options for reinstating capital returns to shareholders until nearer the year end.’ I think dividend to resume next year!
8 weeks to go until clinical trial starts. Let’s hope for positive results to turn this around
Whey prices have dropped substantially, should alleviate cost pressures
Sustained high wind generation for the last month, hopefully will continue to support NAV

Does anyone know the name of the competitor that was sold to pe at 5x sales? MM mentioned in investor presentation.
This is much better, they are progressing with the most valuable compound (as per pre clinical trials). Genuinely think management are trying to look after shareholder value here to avoid future dilution.
Interesting to see 5 consecutive months of whey price decline. Hopefully reduce cost impact for MyProtein

Am I completely wrong here but I thought MM was giving up his golden share?
Strong $ and low SP. Surely similar playbook to Darktrace for a US PE takeover, sort out governance issues, re list in the US couple of years later had much higher multiples
Yep more big buys today! Let’s hope it’s an II
Crude oil has fallen below $90/b. This should at least start to alleviate some of the inflationary costs of the cruises?!
Funded until phase 1 results of 2 lead compounds. The pre-clinical results were extremely exciting. It will need a significant rise in SP for an effective raise. If not there will be significant pharma interest given the promising pre clinical results.
Buy volume very encouraging. Perhaps institution taking a stake
Could still be a 10 bagger yet
On the whole very impressed with CEO, mentioned that they will in earnest be looking to start fund raising process in the fall and complete a fund raise after results of the 2 leading compounds phase 1 results. If the SP is not where it needs to be for a full fund raise to avoid serious dilution then they will be looking at other options including a much smaller raise to focus on further progressing the lead compound and other investment options. I took from others that might be takeovers, but that is certainly speculative.
Appreciate ship debt is asset backed and other debt is fixed on low interest rates but the share decline over the last few weeks must be market sentiment driven by the below.
‘ Carnival dropped more than 14% after the cruise company announced that it was selling an additional $1 billion of stock.’
Haven’t had an equity raise to purchase new assets in a while? Likeliness of one in the next few months?
How big is net debt?
Feel like this is pricing in some bad news... Anyone know how close saga are from breaching their debt covenants? Have interest rate increases had an oversized impact on ability to pay down debt?
