Disappointing SP action today again. Hopefully news starts flowing again soon. AB has certainly talked the talk but I guess the market wants something more tangible and not just EE. Crunch time is approaching fast. LTHs about to be rewarded?

I'm sure patience will be rewarded and sooner than people think. UK will have to relax their absurd border restrictions now that sensible European countries are doing so. No point in destroying our aviation industry just for political point scoring.

Thanks Aimhammer. A really encouraging read. Sounds like we'll be getting confirmed orders from ABB very soon if we're to have the units ready for deployment in the US this year. Our commercial and hopefully profitable future is now within touching distance. Come on AB, take us over the line.

Why the drop into the close. MMs hedging their bets in case FC companies stateside go into reverse later?

Looks like Plug and others making an unexpected recovery (so far). Seems to helping AFC too. Hopefully fuel cell stocks have now bottomed out in the US bringing some badly needed enthusiasm back to the sector.

Thanks for the reassurance Scarpa. It's good to get your views on the recent down turn in the sector and how you put it in perspective. Patience as you say will I'm sure pay off here.

I also but some recently at 72p! I'm going to hold though beach as I'm confident it will all come good. Garry Bullard's missus and Joseph Mangion must know that something good is coming.

Maybe something on HiiRoc could lift the mood. We must be due a progress report on our collaboration with them anytime now.

Heath, I based that assumption on the lack of information forthcoming from AB reference Juhlich at the recent presentation. Hopefully I've interpreted that wrongly and Juhlich is still on track. That being the case we should hear something soon. Fingers crossed.

Looks like Plug and others are going down the proverbial plug hole. Just our luck, when we're getting ever closer to becoming commercial, to be caught up in a sector rout. I guess it's going to be a matter of not if but how much we drop tomorrow. With Acciona and Juhlich delayed I just hope there's something else brewing to be announced soon so we can get on with bucking the current trend and return to SP appreciation. It's at times like this I really admire those who hold onto extremely large investments and don't flinch as the SP gets eroded in the unshakeable belief that all will come good. I'm sure it will but I'm finding watching hydrogen stocks bomb, a little disconcerting.

Sustained carnage on Plug, Fuel cell and Ballard certainly isn't helping. How long can it go on for is the question. Hopefully sentiment turns soon back towards hydrogen stocks. A bit of news on sales wouldn't hurt us though.

From memory AB said that a combination of the £64 million and revenues from expected sales would fund the expected expansion in operations, implying there won't be a need for further placings. If we did achieve significant profitability in 4 years that would be better than some peer companies with MCs currently multiples of AFC. I think with 25p cost per kWh AFC could be a big winner here.

At least today (so far!) AFC is down a lot less than our peer companies. It almost feels like a good result given the carnage elsewhere!

Fair point Bull. It was just a thought. Maybe Acciona were happy to defer with all the CV in Spain etc.

I think sometimes people use overly emotive language on here. It's normal for investors to voice different opinions and it's not surprising some of those are a bit negative at a time when the SP has dropped significantly. No-one wants to see their investment getting smaller particularly after hopes were high that the ID might have had a positive impact on the SP. One could also complain of rampers on the forum who only appear and disappear depending on the performance of the SP at any given time. They are also unscrupulous.

Thinking positively, could it be that the Acciona venture has been delayed by AFC to allow them to prioritize the manufacture of units for ABB. Here's hoping.

Well the market is not rewarding AFC for the presentation at least not yet. TBH I think the Acciona delay and scant detail on Juhlich didn't help. I'm certainly disappointed on that score. I guess it's back to waiting for orders to be announced before we see a return to all time highs and beyond.

At least with the SP well below the placement price it'll stop Schroders and other iis who bought in at 64p from off loading for a quick profit. Hopefully with this, selling pressure will ease and we might get back into the 70s. Some good news could send us well north of there though and rapidly. Didn't AB say they had many as yet undisclosed interested parties.

On reflection it was said by Mike Rendall in response to a question. I think he said they are taking delivery this month.
