It seems to come down to faith with AFC. There are those on here who believe AFC will deliver no question and then there are the sceptics who want to believe but find it difficult given AFC's previous false dawns. I'm in the latter camp but still holding and hoping. I agree with DW about AFC's sentiment towards private investors i.e. one of disdain.

From the half yearly report.

"Alkamem® also represents a significant commercial opportunity in its own right, given its potential use in a number of non-fuel cell applications including fuel synthesis, desalination and electrodialysis. Development work on AlkaMem® in 2021 has focused on enhancing the membrane's mechanical strength and stability in order to improve its end performance and we are continuing to prepare the membrane for third party uses in 2021".

According to AFC AlkaMem will be ready in 2021 for 3rd party uses. As we're already in H2 2021 we should expect a functioning AlkaMem membrane pretty soon. The S cell prototype is also due soon.

Let's hope together they can design a commercially viable membrane to be deployed in the very near future.

I think this tells us more about AlkaMem than AFC ever have. The local company referred to must be AFC. As the article is a year old one hopes further progress has been made.

BTW I thought the article was positive as it was clearly implying that institutional investors have invested knowingly and are therefore confident of making money.

I agree with you chippyjo and I know lots of is are suffering bright now but I think it's natural to be disappointed with the lack of updates. My reasoning for pointing this out is I believe AB reads this board and I wouldn't want him thinking we're all content with things as they are.

Looking at your posts Aaron you seem fond of the acronym stfu. Maybe you should take your on advice.

Too late to sell Jimmy as I'm deep in loss now. I'm going to stick in the hope of a recovery at some point. BTW you talk of mental health but it's clear you are paranoid if you think that just because someone doesn't share your view they must be a de ramperor not a 'genuine' holder. You clearly fancy yourself as some kind of sage when the reality is you're just a blind punter like the rest of us who wants to believe everything AB utters.

It's disappointing that if one dares to question AFC's SP performance or postulate as to why it may be falling abuse is sure to follow from certain posters. Continued silence from AFC is not good enough given all the recent hype and it's contributing to a SP drop. What's unhinged about stating the obvious. I think some on here could be paid to ramp. I call it honestly as I see it. I can't believe any genuine holder could be content with AFC's comms.

The market doesn't trust AB's word on pipeline delivery I would guess chippyjo. TBH I don't either but I keep thinking that this time it'll be different. Yes we're in a good financial position at the moment but that could change quickly without revenue generation in the near future.

This is what I feared would happen without any updates i.e. we're a sitting duck for a re-rate to the downside when overall market sentiment turns. AFC have never been able to sustain SP gains and it's down to their habit of over hyping and then not delivering. It's just the same old here. Unfortunately I'm now in significant loss so will just have to hope that AB finally converts some of his hyperbole into reality. Wonder where Haggis is today?
