Agreed Smasher and with the flow rates we have at Cascadura it ought to be easy what some companies would give to be in our position. Just leave that new rig at Cascadura next year and that 200mmcf pipe would full.

There is however near term good news the arrival of the Canuck shouldn’t be underestimated as this will transform drilling operations on the island. It’s my opinion that this was ordered before drilling began at Cascadura deep as they knew they’d damaged Chinook ( long before they told us ( but hoping for a good result)). The rig 60 about to drill Royston was acquired in 2016 by the service company, I believe this is its first drill ( please correct if you know differently). One of Paul favourite excuses no one has bought gas online for twenty years! This equipment is antiquated. I’m hopefully that the company exceeds the 120 day minimum usage by a factor of two.
On a more positive note connecting gas is easier than finding it so it will happen and in 2023 we’ll get the first dividend, what it will be depends on development drilling at Cascadura somewhere between 5 & 20 pennies would be nice.

Absolutely Smasher we’re at 0.5 now. But I don’t think they’ll test the pay above deep in that well as that horizon was tested with st-1. But as the development wells are drilled into the various “stacked” sheets 1TCF will become a reality. After all st-1 would produce 90mmcfpd on its own if it had a bigger pipe:-)

Quite intrigued that they gave a minimum reservoir size this morning for Cascadura Deep. If it’s good for the entire 440 odd feet originally classified as pay it could be in region of 200/250 bcf p3.

I think he company recognise they’ve fecked up and the correction process is well underway, once the permits are granted for all the pads/ pipelines at Cascadura they can drill constantly until the 200mcfpd is achieved.
Quick survey, if Royston is successful I would like to see significant development there before moving to Steelhead( after all the permits could be in place by the time we’ve done at Cascadura) 4/5mmcf. Thoughts,not that if will make any difference what we think.
And when the cash eventually arrives from Coho we could have an additional rig working out west constantly, maybe 10 wells a year.
I know everyone’s criteria is different but for me I’m going to hang around to see what transpires.

Total agree, what I’m having trouble with is that they’ve applied for three more locations at Cascadura with permission for twelve more wells fourteen in total.
Why?

Independent reserves evaluation for C/Deep plus a possible upgrade for the original well as the ‘pay’ encountered in that strata must have some credence.

HLM, interestingly PB quoted 4 wells per pad in the original presentation times three equals twelve, maybe just making sure they have enough. Although the 200 million pipe would start to look inadequate then?

My understanding is they haven’t tested any of the 1300ft of ‘pay’ at Cascadura.
