Yes Russia prices up 40% in a year!
What is also crazy is in January our sp was 22.9p , since then vanadium prices across the board are up pretty much by over a third, we have increased our production now by a couple more tonnes per day and yet our sp is where it is ? We should be at least 100% up from where we are now. This cannot be classed as ramp whatsoever, it’s a general observation that any sane human being would conclude.

However, as stated last week since then the Yuan has strengthened against the dollar. As of today, it is 2.4% stronger.
So China FeV50 is actually running at $40 per kg mid-price (128,500 CNY/t)
Ferro-vanadium, ferro-niobium prices jump on tightening prompt supply in active spot market
Ferro-vanadium and ferro-niobium prices both climbed by more than 4% in the week ended Friday May 21 due to tightening prompt supply in Europe at a time when spot market activity has started to increase.
The availability of both the alloys in Europe has been tight since the second half of 2020 because China has been importing large volumes of material amid a better demand outlook than in Europe.
Fastmarkets assessed the ferro-vanadium basis 78% V min, 1st grade, ddp Western Europe price at $34.70-37.10 per kg on Friday May 21, up from the midweek assessment of $33.50-35.50 per kg, where it had moved to from $33.00-33.60 per kg. The market is now trading at its highest since June 2019, when it stood at $34.70-37.80 per kg.

www.ferroalloynet.com:Today, Panzhihua Iron and Steel raised its quotation, adding confidence to the market. At the beginning of the week, the market had a strong wait-and-see attitude, and most vanadium companies were waiting for major manufacturers to adjust prices. Retail V2O5 flake manufacturers offer is in cash 121,000-122,000 CNY/Ton, and alloy factories’ inquiries are mostly around 120,000 CNY/Ton in cash. High-priced raw materials are purchased cautiously. Manufacturers wait and see more and deliver fewer shipments. It is difficult to find low-priced sources in the market. .
VN alloy quotations were low at the beginning of the week, and a small amount of firm quotations were 181,000-185,000 CNY/Ton in cash. Some manufacturers said that the cash price was 179,000 CNY/Ton. The transaction was not easy. Traders were generally motivated to purchase and did not operate much, indicating that the space is small. The ferrovanadium market offers is 126,000 -129,000 CNY/Ton in cash, but the actual transaction price tends to be low and the demand is small.
On the 30th May 2019 Bushveld Shareprice was 31P China Vanadium prices were 36$ kg and
we produced 2,931 MTV that year.
Today China Vanadium prices are actually 38.5$ and we are on track to produce over 4,100 MTV and
shareprice is 15.74p. This week should be very interesting :-)
Just checked in, it’s turned out to be a nice day on here, I think a few that have been sitting on the sidelines have finally realised that this is starting to go up now what with vanadium prices continually rising, my guess is we will see $40 hit sometime next week. Have a good weekend fellow holders :-)
