Good evening M1lky,
I work at Lhr and have done for a few decades and it’s a common myth that BA wanted to put 1st class on the upper deck off the A380in combination with the much larger bathrooms, but after purchasing the much heavier 1st class seats they was found to be much heavier than the current club seats, so unless they reinforced the floor area at a huge cost they will be staying on the lower deck.
Hope this helps.
The message we put to management was not higher pay (that is a separate issue) we wanted back on equal terms that we gave up via a ballot with a proviso if things improved we got back our pay/terms/conditions etc.the company is definitely trying to streamline in a positive way, but a lot of experience has gone through different avenues.
P.s the a/c that are flying have got high load factor’s but we don’t know what revenue these are producing.
Hi Sundezena,
It was in a daily briefing we get every morning at LHR.
The inbound will be almost identical figures to the outbound.
Sorry no inbound passenger figures for you, but the passenger head count and larger volumes of flights have increased daily for about 4 weeks now.
Sorry I should have said that my comment was a reply to speedbird 747.
D9Ber1 you are correct about the furlough for staff, some of the furlough is long term and for other departments it’s sporadic, staff have been put on furlough then taken off with short notice.
With your question about VR it is available to some departments with a leaving date 31/03/2021
Regards GB
Good morning, I currently work for BA and will soon have completed my 3rd decade there, in that timespan you get to hear most of the rumours, well your statement is a first for me, so could you add some credibility to it please.
I will be in work today and will make myself busy for a update for you.
Regards GB
