Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources G. Damdinnyam's visit to China continues. On the second day of the visit, he met with the country's state-owned company CNPC (China National Petroleum Corporation). The meeting discussed opportunities to increase fuel supplies, ensure stable supply, and expand bilateral energy cooperation.
Representing Mongolia, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources G. Damdinnyam emphasized during the meeting that Mongolia adheres to a policy of sustainable supply of domestic fuel. CNPC representatives also presented the company's capabilities and plans to maintain stable fuel supplies to the Mongolian market and increase supply efficiency, and expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the coming years. Mongolia imports 100 percent of its fuel consumption, with Russia accounting for 95 percent, while the remaining 5 percent is supplied by China. During the official visit, the parties discussed and mutually agreed to increase the volume of this import.
