To quote yourself "silly you indeed" regards this or any other companies revenue.
Not wishing to come across as trying to educate you as I am sure a shrewd business type high flying investor such as yourself knows revenue can be influenced by things other than absolute volume.
For example: increased price per unit. In the case of Cineworld/cinema more generally that would mean increased ticket prices (as has been witnessed) and justified by providing a better/more premium product.
In this case things such as screenx 270 degree wrap around screens, improved seating, 4dx screens and other such improvements to product offering.

I stated attendance levels have indeed been dropping for some time in the industry, BUT it's Revenue has increased.
Business is about money right.
Read and absorb others posts before reactive outbursts :-)

So rent is "fluff", sounds educated view.
Along with rent fluff how much of their debt is from takeover of Regal (which greatly expanded the business and its ability to generate cash).

Declining industry was mentioned earlier, and while attendance numbers has been decreasing, how was 2019 revenue numbers? They were record levels were they not!? ;-)

Some here will have done so, some won't and we each (including yourself) have made our respective investment choices.

May I suggest treat people as you expect to be treated yourself.
Re-read your very first post on Cineworld here and you may get your answer to how people have responded.

It's (IMHO) absolutely fine to have a different view on the investment opportunity of a business, you opened rather stronger/different from that though.

Weather up here in Jockland been great, share price less so.
As much as I love the weather I would take a swap **** weather for great share price.

Had thought/hoped some uncertainties would have been cleared/be much better by now and they ain't. As we have witnessed for over a year now that then makes it easy game to play around with SP here.

Both legal teams I am sure will be in ongoing discussions and seeing if something can be agreed before a court date.

Yes Cruis it is one of the areas of uncertainty regards Cine as has been discussed number of times before.

Insider, I prefer managed expectations.
As an example for near 4 months now we have basically been on a continued fall on share price.
Yet in that time along with the doomsayers we have had: Reddit , AMC style short squeeze, takeover, price is only going up, price will be "insert price much higher than it ever did on any of these days/weeks", and many other overly bold predictions daily.

Will SP reach and pass 80p in much quicker time than a few months? Maybe!! BUT nobody can say with certainty short term large movements.
There is a LOT of unknown and uncertainties yet to be clarified before we can say with Amy real confidence regards share price.

I would say it's far more likely to be nearer my 80p + than £3:80 in next few months.

If any of the optimistic things happen and we get takeover at £3:80, AMC gamma squeeze on shorters giving us a £20+ share price then I will be as over the moon as anyone here.

As I don't expect these or invest based on them then if they don't happen and it takes company performance over time to get share price more acceptable then fine :-)

£3:80 talk in that timeframe helps nobody.

2019 same period average $17,679,835

So these figures suggest 62.65% in comparison.
(Mooky seemed fairly upbeat on UK performance, so is it as these figures show doing rather better than USA or will US numbers alter materially on Cineplex re-opening!?).

USA started reopening April.
Biggest push USA and UK was mid late May on reopening.

PW They started opening on a staggered basis in the USA before we did here in the UK.

UK will have/has similar/same issues as UK.
Restrictions on capacity, lack of depth of supply in movies and in general getting the " machine" rolling fully again.
The box office numbers (totals for weeks/months and not for one weekend or couple movies should give us reasonable guide).

US Box office (the main market for Cineworld)
Last 7 weeks shown an average weekly of $113.3m
Corresponding 7 weeks 2019 average of. $262.2m
Or so far running at 43.4% of pre covid numbers.

Main box office movies are doing "Ok", but as stated by a few here before and noted in the interview most recently by Mooky there has as yet not been the volume of releases to back these up.

Average c.44/45 per week compared to 116 in 2019 same period.

Cineworld own financials and projections were on a "base case" opening when we did to 60% of 2019 levels.
Realise their exact share of 2019 and 2021 may have altered a little (larger due to others not yet open ).
However it seems "unlikely" they have significantly surpassed expectations and "may" be a bit behind.

This base case opening at 60% of 2019 levels also states a planned return to c. 90% of 2019 levels by later months of year.
So, again latest interview from Mooky is only really confirming his hopes/expectations and not surpassing what the company "budgeted" for.
It's under those circumstances they expected to have enough liquidity to see through year to that stage where they would then be generating enough for business to operate fully and get back to strengthening liquidity.

The debt often debated rather heatedly isn't a particular problem if operating at those 2019 type levels, below that or when business was closed then they are more, much more of a concern.
Hence with many Cineworld specific factors combined with many less cineworld and cinema specific factors we can't be 100% surprised to see the SP have a battle on its hands .

Are shorters "manipulating" the share anymore than investors and rampers are when SP is going up!?

Let's hope next few months starts to see significant increase in movie supply, we already know we have some pretty strong Box Office big boys spread out over second half year.

I expect/hope around now/just past or very soon Cineworld liquidity is at around the worst it is going to be now and we soon start to improve on a rather small reserves.
