They re talking about .25 or .50 cut in the US. Other major thing is a weaker dollar, though versus the pound it ll stay strong you d think...given gold is used worldwide a weaker dollar against most other fiat currencies will also be significant. Stars aligning!-))

By the way Super...state street are a custodial bank that run fund services and act as a 3rd party settling transactions for fund managers and the like. I expect they are acting on behalf of their clients as the transaction is finalised and nothing more.

Gold and also Barrick are in a range since breaking 1500. There was a higher high at around 1535 and a higher low briefly on tuesday at 1480 or so before rebounding. This pattern does suggest another break out to 1550 plus over the next couple of weeks. Barrick shares need that to maintain status as a "Momentum" stock!! Would be hopeful as Acacia is currently very boring..I want my 10 p dividend and even then I m still 10% down lol!!!!-)))..we re a full year from full stock market meltdown and there will be big rallies to enjoy..but I ll wait;-)!

Best go on foot Super. PS. Metro BANK fell another 7%. Surely this is now really great value and time to go catch that falling knife..bargain of the century surely as this used to be way higher??? Then again...:-0 !!!!

Hi Super..yes it's a risky place..I can see a big rally happening though and may be late money to be made as still hink a full recession is still a while away. Equally still good for gold as can see half point cut and cant see that it's been priced in. Surprised barrick shares is trading water but hopefully storing energy to break out on top side. Happy sticking to this until after we get our dividend and transfer happens. Thanks god we re not in metro.

Believe me..I recruit into the RPA space and businesses universally have had their fingers burnt. They are making headway implementing the stuff but anything other than basic end to end processes are actually way more complex than the management consultancy firms have suggested. These guys have not done a great job but lined their pockets landing and then expanding RPA implementations to line their pockets. Firms now understand that they are just shoving pinch points around, so one process automated just creates more manual work elsewhere. Most firms will pause for a very long breath and look way beyond blue prism for more holistic end to end solutions. This stock is a piece of C&ap in my opinion and will get gazumped by bigger firms with deeper pockets and better products.

I love reading these posts. So banal it's hilarious. Listening to you lot literally guessing and gambling. The basis for investing is not oooh it's now under 1200 what a great bargain. Based on what!??!? Hilarious. This is the most over priced piece of c$ap I ever saw. I wouldn't t buy at 500. Businesses have had their fingers burnt using rpa. It's much harder to automate processes than you think. It's expensive and the returns never in line with what was projected. You ll see renewals and profitability alow right down and BP sat on a debt pile they can t service. Good luck. Such a bargain lol

Get the calculator out and work out Barricks EPS and they are only at the start of their recovery. I only intended to invest in ACA short term for a year or two but now see me keeping put for another 12 months+. Patience is key as Barrick will slowly build up and am expecting 30 dollars + within 12 months. As always it won t be linear!!-)

Blimey...the cynic in me is seeing someone trying to catch a falling knife whilst forsaking around 7-8% return on ACA post dividend and exchange rate. If I m missing something then more fool me.

Why would you think the share price would go up? Even if the export ban was lifted it its entirety and the GOT turned around and said ACA we love you really...keep the 300M...this won't make the share price move.

The only thing that will make the share price move is the Barrick share price as we are effectively "twinned" with their SP.

18.19/0.168x0.83= £2.54 per share..still at a discount friends-)

Just as an extra Super...the ACA shares are trading at around a 5% discount from Barrick shares (also including the usd to gbp conversion). Combine that with the special dividend and we should have around 8% more to enjoy! Better bet than trading on other stocks in a very dangerous market!

Super..just another way of dicing this up, I'd ignore the ACA share price and focus on the Barrick price as that's what we'll own once the deal is done. My shares at 0.168 converted into Barrick's usd, is already worth another 2.1K as we speak purely from the sterling drop, which is a nice little bump up. Critically and I say again, Barrick is only at the START of its recovery and August 12th will be very interesting with the Q2 results. We are at 18.19 USD today. Give it 2-3 years and we'll be sat on 40-50$ as a conservative guess. These are a long term hold for me:-))

Couldn't agree more VV and I don t think 1900 is absurd in suggested timescale. Why i persist in talking myself out of bitcoin is beyond me as it's clear as daylight this hits 100 000 sooner rather than later. Probably owing to outrageous spreads and charges which makes me stick 2 fingers up but rather cutting nose off to spite face.

One point of note though Super is that we re facing deflation not inflation. Not sure what that will mean but would think gold will hold value better than currencies in deflationary environment.

Hi Hasiba, one last thought...Goldmans suggested around 18 months ago that Oil would hit 25$ or below and I still think they'll prove right...timing as we know is everything and with weak demand and a global recession possibly out there, this number looks realistic. Bull and Bear runs, invariably last unfathamably longer than we usually anticipate and although there is a good opportunity here, I wonder if its worth hanging fire;-! PS - since the Barrick purchase, their shares are up 7%, which should make ACA worth 2.48 right now. We are trading at a discount, so worth holding.

Hi Hasiba..I would urge you to think longer term and not trade in and out of gold and oil stocks as it is tantamount to gambling and you ll lose eventually. Gold is on a long term upward trend and you will see higher lows. No doubt gold fall back to 1450 or lower but the next high will higher and I expect to see 2000+ within 12 months or so. Lower interest rates will damage the Banks and make them take risky investment bets to chase profit...in turn it will inflate the debt bubble before it implodes. Just sit tight for 12 months is my best suggestion but each to their own.
