If Fleur Wood is responsible for investor relations then what exactly is she doing at the moment? Has her contract ended?

It doesn't exactly seem busy on the investor relations front at the moment. You would have thought that anyone fulfilling that role would at least be able to respond to the odd email, even if it's just to say "hang in there, nowt to report at minute but things are chugging"...or words to that effect.

I'm sure DG mentioned in an interview that the plan was to build it up and sell it. A transformational deal on NXP002 would have been a great opportunity to do that, then maybe individuals could disappear in their own directions to fulfill the smaller obligations (we know DT moved to Ebers).

I can only imagine that something or someone has poisoned the waterhole. Maybe not everyone saw the sale as the end of the dream. Perhaps they wanted more on the back of the pandemic. Re-negotiation would certainly threaten an existing deal and a power struggle could have erupted if anyone was against that.

Just my thoughts on what may have happened.

Maybe the NXP002 deal represented the sale the club, not just the striker.

If they are being careful and taking their time then why the absolute silence. Surely it would make sense to keep investors informed so that the reason for the delay is clear and confidence can be maintained. Silence just looks like you're hiding something. Add to that the shenanigans and things look even more suspicious.

Surely getting a transformational deal across the line gives the board a unified focus. As I've mentioned before, an exodus of directors at a time when their wealth is about to increase substantially is fairly rare in my experience.

My gut tells me that something fundamentally bad has been the the catalyst to those shenanigans and this lack of news. The most reasonable assumption is that the chance of closing any NXP002 deal, if there ever really was one, faltered earlier this year. Which party is responsible for that? I don't know.

I hope that CB can turn things around with something elsebbut this continued silence is very concerning.

Does the 'partner' really have an unlimited time to outcome...or are the board just very reluctant to tell us that things haven't worked out? Perhaps they are talking to someone else now but it doesn't take this long for things to move in a positive direction if both parties are happy.

It's time they spilled the beans on the real state of play.

Commiserations Hale.

We had a relative in her 90's who tested positive after going into hospital for a hip op after a fall. The test was so she could go back to her care home. To say it caused panic in the family was and understatement. However, we were lucky as she proved to be asymptomatic and is now fine.

It's a dreadful lottery.

Oxilio requested 6 months to evaluate. I'll be surprised if we hear anything before the end of the year.

This is not really what NXP001 was developed for. It could be nothing more than a long shot. My guess is that CB was just glad of the contract income that it generated.

After re-reading my last post, I feel a need to stress a point.

While I accept that it is an abbreviated form of a moniker by which I have been known in the past, the last line is not actually me signing-off. It is, in fact, just the remnants of a bodged attempt at fat-fingered cut and paste activity on an android phone.

Yesterday's reports on the new clinics implies that the government has now formulated some kind of plan on how it proposes to treat each individual symptom of long covid. Breathlessness and organ damage (presumably due to inflammation of lungs and heart) are high on the list (I think 39% of those affected was the figure). There has never a better opportunity for NFX to step up to the plate.

The company have stated that they have been involved in encouraging discussions with parties regarding the use our products in treating these symptoms. However, while they would be obliged to tell us if a deal does materialise, I don't think that there is a similar obligation to tell us if those talks fall by the wayside. Perhaps that is why there is continued silence regarding the original Japanese negotiations reported by The Times.

The clock has started ticking on the long Covid prospects now though. We should soon be able to start seeing for ourselves exactly who and what treatments are being used for the lung related symptoms. It will be interesting to see if we hear anything from the board before we reach that point.

I am in a similar position Thompi.

I look at the evidence available to draw my opinions but I could (and hope) to be wrong. After DG left, my outlook became somewhat bleaker, he was a founder after all and appeared to be a leading light. The only thing that keeps my hopes up is that he hasn't yet sold a notifiable chunk of his own holding. Perhaps that means he still has faith. That said, and given previous events from earlier this year, sell notifications do seem to get lost in the post down Cambridge way. I hope that is a thing of the past now.

I wish that I could see some link between his leaving and moving to Qureight as positive evidence that they are actively trying to improve/speed up testing of such promising products...but why would NFX or DG/Qureight not state that openly.

Our hopes lie in the hands of the remaining team now. Let's hope they can pull a decent deal together for at least one of the products before the year is out.

Shut up shop indeed. From the May update:

"-- Negotiations regarding the out-licensing of pan-Asian rights to the Company's NXP002 programme are progressing well, albeit at a slower pace than expected as a result of the COVID-19 situation. The Directors are pleased with progress to date and look forward to further positive discussions in the coming months."

How are these positive discussions going? Even with the pandemic, business will always find to seal a deal if things are so good. We should have some news by now. Why are we being kept in the dark?

I regard the contract work with Ebers/Vistagen as a bit of a weathervane as to how things are going in general. Lack of news on progress here could indicate that things are not prodding along as they should. It could also be down to delays that are beyond their control...but a simple tweet or podcast could clear things up.

Updates are important.

Realistically, how are you going to attract a decent CEO to a company where there are just 4 people to manage?
