It does certainly look like Vistagen are putting a big push on research and development. However, on a more cautious note, if the collaboration with NFX had been such a screaming success then why not publish the results before the placing? Surely, that would encourage the uptake (unless its already fully funded).

Could bring something our way. We know we are collaborating on AV-101 and some unknown others.

We'll probably have to wait until 22nd at least to find out.

NICE and the Royal College of GPs have this morning issued formal guidelines for the detection and treatment of long COVID, thereby formally recognising the condition. Reports from both Sky News and BBC.

1 in 10 cases reportedly suffers long term symptoms, of which 28 (yes 28) of the most common are covered by the guidelines. Heart & lung issues are the most concerning. Sky put UK estimates upto 500k people having suffered to date. I find that hard to swallow though as it would mean 5 million cases in the UK (but we are just shy of 2 million officially)

All future cases should now be reviewed after 6 weeks and those with continuing symptoms will be referred to specialist centres for further treatment.

If NXP002 or NXP004 have any relevance in all this then surely they must know by now.

I would like to agree but the tech is now a year older. The competition won't have been standing still, let's hope NFX have not been standing still either and that we get to find out just how busy they've been very soon.

We might be reading a little too much into the use of the word 'great' along with its historical connotations. For some reason, the Great Depression immediately sprang to my mind :)

That said, 3 months ago I was seriously expecting an RNS to land anytime telling us that the shares had been suspended. It looked pretty bleak after the Chinese default, boardroom massacre, failure to land an NXP002 deal and little by way of the £51m of Ebers work we were promised.

Not a great deal has changed on that front except for a couple of deals for undisclosed (and therefore probably small) amounts.

However, the remaining board have managed to attract 3 new bodies into the fold . The quick succession and timing of the announcements feels very significant to me. I have no idea what is afoot but I do get the feeling that it must be fairly well progressed for them to commit to the cost of three extra senior resources.

Here's hoping for another RNS very soon.

Three appointments in rapid succession have a feel of purpose & urgency about them.

There has been a fair amount of housekeeping and clearing out done this year. It may just be that, after the Times leak and the delayed reporting, they got a warning shot across the bow from a market regulator and decided to clean up their act. Could it also be that a larger potential partner told them that no deal could be done until measures were taken to strengthen governance?

It would be nice to think that all this might be part of some due diligence process that is being enforced in order to pave the way for a new partnership.

Hopefully we'll find out soon
