It certainly feels like we might be getting another TR-1 soon.

I'm not too bothered about CPI, I can understand why they might want to exit but if these are further ex-director sells then I can't really say that I understand the logic or motives at all. Given yesterdays RNS, why not wait a little longer to see what happens and give the share price a chance?

Is the seller desperate for money? Are they just bitter enough to want to try and take the edge off any good news or success generated by the new team...at their own expense!? Or, do they know something that we don't?

We need a buyer to show some confidence.

One positive buyer might change the mood.

If/when the directors start buying in again, then some confidence might return to the retailers as well.

The sp action is silly. Even looking at this news from the darkest of angles, it is still positive and it isn't even really the news that we were expecting.

Don't forget all the boardroom turmoil of the last 12 months. That has damaged confidence. I suspect the market needs something more solid than the silver-plated BS we have been enticed with in the past.

This is hopefully a new start. However let's also not forget that these results are based on tests on the lung tissue of a single donor. What is the chance of these results being non-typical?

We need substantial, solid news that paves the way to a deal and income.

I agree Hale. We need to know how they plan to take this forward. Do they have serious partner backing OR are they going to try and use the Innovate funding (if granted) to justify a huge fundraising to take it forward themselves or in collaboration with another minnow

You could be forgiven for thinking that the ever-continuing saga of the elusive NXP002 deal has pretty much served that purpose. I reckon the price would have tanked much sooner if a whiff of that hadn't come out with each update.

I'm very intrigued to see how Anne spins that one out in the coming update.

As encouraging as the weekend posts were, nothing is certain until we get the red dot. There is still a month of this quarter to go and if Oxilio are intending to go ahead then they now have to raise funds.

If there is something brewing then the MM's will be more in touch than we are and they will want to capitalise, so lookout for a bit of price buckaroo and wider than normal spreads.

Oxilio does sound hopeful for NXP001 (even the name OXL001 seems to pay homage)

A 2m royalty cap might end up being a little on the low side if Oxilio do succeed.

That all depends on how that funding comes about. A closed offer with a private investor could result in massive dilution of PI's...in which case we might all miss out.

Well if Keegan was to leave at this stage then I would find it difficult to believe that his options would also remain intact. That would not be a good omen.

One would have thought that if the hotly anticipated Q1 update was not linked to a deal (i.e. change of strategy and direction) then there would be little reason for delay (unless they are waiting to finalise funding).

That makes me think that the timing of any announcement is being dictated by a third party. That could be either a potential partner or a major investor.

I'm not sure that I have any faith in the big NXP002 deal anymore. Too much water under the bridge since that cat got out of the bag. I also can't see any circumstances under which CB would leave the company and possibly forfeit his options if a huge deal was in the offing. If his departure was to related to ill health or personal/family issues then why could he not just take a leave of absence?
