The real niggle I've got though is that those directors who took part in the latest placing could quite easily have flogged out again for a quick 10% and no-one would be any wiser because no-one needs to be notified.

I wonder how long it will take to thrash out the final Oxilio deal. Both parties have had plenty of time to consider their own needs so it shouldn't take too long...unless they are poles apart.

Should be a reasonably straightforward opportunity for Anne to finally prove that she can actually deliver shareholder value.

Myle's research will only be as good as the tripe he gets fed by the company.

Remember, until the placing RNS, we were all under the impression we had Vistagen, Ebers and an Asian NXP002 partnership to look forward to. They'd even just issued an RNS boasting about NXP002 positive results, making us even more hopeful. Now look where we are! It seems to me that the NXP002 results were nothing more than a sweetener for the placing to come...a bit like the NXP004 pilot results last year.

This board has a long way to go to prove it is a different beast to the one we are hopefully now rid of.

Jury's still out for me.

Will we get regular updates on progress to add confidence and shareholder value or will they just slink off back to the lab to hide for another 6-12 months while they plan their next placing?

I agree. I would have thought that funding in the hundreds of thousands or more would be significant enough to report to shareholders. Apart from that, wouldn't you want to advertise the fact your work was being formally endorsed by a government body as such?

With regards to the Innovate grant, on reflection, I don't expect we'll get any fanfare from the company this afternoon. They'll probably want to save that to give a little boost to their new suitors on Monday.

The real clue as to how poorly negotiated that original deal was is not in the fact that the upfront and milestones were undisclosed. It is in the fact (as Soup highlighted earlier) that they didn't even reveal what percentage royalty we could expect. All we got was that it is capped at 2m.

To be fair, with regards to payment (and particularly after NSB), I never really expected "significant" to mean "significant" in much the same way that, with regards to discussions with Asian partners, I didn't really expect "ongoing" to mean "ongoing".

I'll wager he's probably been buying back in this week, just so he can stay above 3% and continue to cast his shadow :0)

The original RNS did use the word "significant" to describe the first payment on exercise:

"-- Should Oxilio exercise the option, Nuformix will licence its patent estate and know-how on NXP001 in return for a significant upfront payment and additional development milestones and a royalty on net sales, capped at GBP2 million per annum"
