51m shares changed hands today, that over 8.5% of the total float. The price has barely moved. This is the second such big volume in two weeks.

I don't know what it means but logic suggests that while are keen to offload big volumes others are prepared to mop them up.

We have had no TR1'S at all. Does anyone know of any special dispensation offered to buyers which exempts them from having to declare anything until they have acquired their target holding?

I'm not getting my hopes up until I see something solid, with a red dot next to it

Anyone can be forgiven for misjudging events relating to this company. Things never turn out as they first appear.

Like everyone else, I initially thought that 18m was a buy. Now I just think it was another devious sleight of hand by a manipulator somewhere. I really wish the FCA would introduce heavy fines and be keen to penalise those who fail to report notifiable trades with the specified deadlines.

I really hope the new board can deliver something special with Oxilio very soon, otherwise it might a long nervous wait to see whether the new funds did anything other than keep the lights on.

I'm beginning to wonder if the reason for the company's poor performance lies in its business model.

We talk about delivering treatments for unmet needs but it seems to me (and I may have got it wrong) that our way of doing business is to find a product for which the patent is about to expire (or has already expired). We then develop a wonderful cocrystal improvement to re-establish a new patent without the original owners knowledge before knocking on their door with a bit of a 'stand and deliver' attitude, offering them the choice to buy it back from us or else lose out to the next highest bidder.

I wonder if this rubs our 'partners' up the wrong way. Perhaps a better approach might be to try and bring them on board a little earlier in the process so it doesn't feel so much like blackmail (for want of a better description).

I may have completely misinterpreted how things work but it certainly feels like we keep our cards close to our chest until the last minute. It may also be too risky to do anything else (i.e. if we let it slip that something can be done then they might just look to do it themselves). It is just that whatever we have been doing so far doesn't seem to be very successful at getting deals across the line.

IG closed out all open positions on 29th March. I don't remember seeing such a notable transaction on that date.

I suppose it could be another broker closing out at a later date and that they may have an unusually large number of open positions but a few things strike me as odd. First is the round number 18m exactly. Second is the fact that it was just over the number of shares required to notify (I still find that weird). It could be a coincidence but my gut feeling is that this is a single party transaction and we should eventually see a TR1.

If it was related to a spread betting company then I think it would be highly likely that it was down to closing positions en-bloc and therefore a sell

As an IG client, I'm guessing most spread-betting firms ( as is the case with IG) now no longer allow new positions to be opened for companies like NFX after the Gamestop activity a few weeks ago.

Is it not the case that it could be after hours reporting of a trade that occurred earlier in the day? It's a little late for the post market auction and 18m is still a hell of a volume even for consolidated auction activity.

Yes. As the the last grant seemed to cover inhaled NXP002 it's difficult to see how they could differentiate it enough to justify a further grant.

It's a bit of a blow as we now seem to be reliant on the upfront payment from Oxilio to make up for the shortfall between the 1.65m gained from the placing and the forecast 2m required to complete NXP002 testing.

Let's hope they can at least deliver on that.

It looks like the UKRI have updated the Innovate project database with all projects funded between 2004 and 1st April 2021.

Nuformix are listed 3 times, the latest being for year 2015/2016. I can only assume from this that we didn't get anything.

78m new shares out there sitting at 10% profit and drifting down by the day. I'll wager that some of our newest 'investors' have now disappeared into the sunset.

It was a nice little arrangement for them. Effective a short term loan in exchange for the possibility for full repayment plus 10% in just a couple of weeks. No clauses to limit exit points All at the expense of the LTH's. Even the new board are sitting pretty on a small profit after getting in on the action.

I wonder how the concert party feel about it all? DG has now become casual about his notifications . Anyone else considered the possibility that he might actually be the 18m mystery trader?

You would have thought that anyone prepared to outlay £485k at 2.6p a share might consider it tempting to average down a bit at these bargain basement prices. No signs of any further buying though.

I'm beginning to think that Financial Conduct only applies to pleb PI's like us.

It is frustrating. I know the new team need breathing room but I find it hard to believe that they are having to start from scratch. It will be a tough wait over summer

I just find it odd that he doesn't filter me if he doesn't like what I say. He doesn't have to read it.Instead, it seems he would prefer to try and control what other posters can and cannot read by telling people what they should and shouldn't say.

Not really. Just saying what I see. I have no ulterior motive. If/when the management actually do something which genuinely adds shareholder value then you will see a new, happy me.

Until then, I'll continue to call it as I see it.

I'm sorry if that upsets anyone trying to blag their way to a quick 10%. I hold a fair chunk of these so I have nothing to gain by criticising. 'm just trying to give an honest appraisal to help others avoid repeating my mistakes.

Instead of trying to pin performance on fellow posters, you try looking at where the problem really lies.

They could always join the twitter rampathon if they seek confidence where there is none.

Ultimately, real confidence comes from management action that results in shareholder value.

A lack of confidence and trust might be to blame.

Anyone thinking of buying who has done their homework might be suspicious of the fact that nought has resulted from all the previously boasted deals. In addition we still have two known holders offloading plus 78m of cheap shares that have just been gifted to investors with no TR1's. God only knows how many of those are in the process of being dumped.

Savvy investors will probably be waiting to see if this new BoD can actually walk the walk before they jump in.

Whoever bought/sold that 18m seems to be in no hurry to notify.

My question is: Why would you buy just over the minimum notifiable amount if you didn't want to notify? Why not by just under?

Nobody appears to have been buying since. Sellers are firmly back in charge.
