The FDA rejection is still the biggest stumbling block for the USA as far as I can see.

It would be good to hear from Anne, perhaps in her next interview, how she believes that our crystalline salts can overcome it.

I know people will jump in and say "reduced dose...inhaled delivery etc..." but it would be nice to hear it from the horses mouth with some data comparisons to back it up.

If they start doing that then maybe big pharma's ears will finally price up.

She actually came across much better then the interviewer.

I suppose the least we can take from it is that things are still on track, despite the recent departures. Product priorities do not appear to have changed.

The Oxilio delay may turn out to be a good thing if they cansecure enough for a decent upfront payment. It would be nice to receive a payment that at the very least staves off any need for further give-away placings.

At least she's trying to keep us informed. I did like that about DG too.

Until we get a 'meaty' update..as the presenter described it, it's neither here nor there really.

Was Higgins supposed to report after the placing (like DG was)?

Why would he sell out now if the Oxilio deal is still on track and the phase readiness testing is underway?

I love how twitter chartists talk about this company as though some magic indicator or ancient support level is going turn things around without news.

I think it's safe to say that the small PI's do nothing to prop up the share price. Just take a look at the 2 year chart for that.

Only two things m are likely to move the sp north this side of positive NXP002 results. The first is a better than expected Oxilio completion. The second is an RNS showing that a company or a reputable individual investor has taken a notifiable position.

Unfortunately, the FCA seem to be very relaxed when it comes to TR1 reporting so I doubt the 2nd scenario is going to happen.

I would love to know who placed that notifiable trade of 18m a couple of months back and whether it was a buy or sell.

The long wait might not be a bad thing. If they didn't want it then surely they have had enough time to reconsider and turn it down.

So maybe (just maybe) Anne might have been able to negotiate better terms and Oxilio are in the process of securing extra funding...maybe even enough for them to consider making a bid.

It's a good thing to have the patent but there is still the not so small question mark over whether or not these crystalline salts will overcome the previous obstacles with the FDA.

Now that would change the game.

I guess "Chrystalline Tranilast Salts" is something completely different to "Tranilast compositions and Tranilast cocrystals" from a patent perspective, despite the similar wording.

"Nuformix filed two patent applications on new crystalline forms of tranilast, one of which has been granted globally and this second patent application has now been allowed in the US and has also been approved for the "Patent Prosecution Highway" which may accelerate examination in other countries."

Probably just a misunderstanding again but if we have already been granted a global patent then what is the relevance of the patent prosecution highway for accelerating examination in individual countries? Does the PPH cover additional countries that are not signed up to uphold global patents?

I spent some time trying to find difference with the older patent details and agree that most of it (to a layman like myself) appeared to be rewording, perhaps for clarification.

What I don't understand is that old patent appeared to be already active in the US with an expiry date in 2033, why the need for a new (which now appears to be back at pending status).

Is the other one still enforced? Has it been superceded? Why was the new one required? It appeared to cover the inhaled application already.

I noticed that claims 21 to 24 now appear as cancelled. Some of the details have been moved into other clauses. Not sure whether this is good or bad but 21 to 24 used to read as follows:

"21. A method to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis, enhance neurogenesis, or inhibit angiogenesis comprising the step of administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a tranilast cocrystal of claim 2.
22. A method for the treatment of an allergic disorder, a fibrotic disorder or an inflammatory disorder comprising the step of administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition of claim 17.
23. A method to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis, enhance neurogenesis, or inhibit angiogenesis comprising the step of administering to a patient in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition of claim 17.
24. A method of preparing a liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising the step of dissolving a tranilast cocrystal of claim 2 in a pharmaceutically acceptable solvent."

Let's hope its the killer clause that seals a deal

I think getting an Oxilio deal across the line will help to give a boost. It might also show the world that we finally have a board that they can do business with.

Hopefully this is just the dark before the dawn

I shall be sticking around. I've suffered too much to just give up now.

I just hope the last RNS is not more of the same BS that we've been spoon fed since the Times leak.
