How can you be sure that Dan was forced out in boardroom shenanigans? Why would he step aside for someone who held no shares in the company when he has such a large holding himself? It doesn't make sense. If it was really everyone vs Blackwell & Keegan then surely the 'concert party' held enough clout to be able to oust Blackwell at an AGM.

The only way I could see Oxilio actually finalising a licensing deal now is if they had absolute control over their interests in NXP001 IP to the extent that they could afford for Nuformix to go under. If that's the case then why not just play hardball, sit things out while we go to the wall and then just snap up NXP001 in the fire sale that follows?

I despair at the moment. If what we had been told about the products was true then all we needed was stability and time without another director putting the boot in.

Brindley has given 6 months notice (which is more than any of the others did) but I really cannot see how this will not damage any deal with Oxilio. She will just be running the clock down now.

CPI, Dan Gooding & Jo Holland are still listed as majority investors with over 6% each.

I'd love to know what they are thinking this morning. It appears that none of them have attempted to offload unlike Chorlton and Topalczay. Have they simply not reported it or is that because they still think there is something to be salvaged here or have they written them off and taken the (saintly) decision not to benefit from failure?

Why would Gooding relinguish control while he still held such a big stake in the company. His successor's have not even been able to steady the ship since his departure. Why did Jo leave as well. She too has a massive stake but has removed herself from a position where she has any influence in what happens to the company from now on. She could have been running the show now. Did she expect this mornings news at some point or is she feeling as let down as the rest of us?

Do you think that's going to happen now? If you were Oxilio (or a big pharma partner about to hand Oxilio the funding for NXP001) what you would be thinking this morning as you read that?

So we apparently hold a product that has the potential to lead the market and has been "shown to exceed current standard of care" in IPF treatment yet no one seems to want it and no director seem to want to drive it forward. What do you take from that? Was it ever as good as they said or is it so good that someone wants to take this off our hands for nothing and develop it privately, out of sight, and make a killing that way?

You might achieve more by emailing the FCA than the company at this point!

Good luck to her!!! Good luck to us, I say. Is there a worse possible time that you could pick to abandon your post in favour of a better job offer? Why not at least wait until you have closed the deal with Oxilio? I think I can guess!

It's hard to swallow that the company is actually worth less now than it was at the IPO. The question is how much further can it possibly slip without going bust?

With regards to valuation if Oxilio come through, my guess is that it would the upper range of the recent Allenby valuation (3.4p, I think?)...even though they said their report only took NXP002 (or is it NFX002) into consideration.

Even if the speculation (and it is only speculation) about Oxilio partnering with big pharma was true, we might not know anything about it yet and we certainly wouldn't be at liberty to discuss it if we did.

On the other hand to that risk, of course, is the likelihood of far higher initial market valuations of the two smaller companies involved should the deal be backed by big pharma. Chances of success would be far greater than they would be if the deal was with Oxilio alone.

It would certainly explain why they don't need the funds upfront.

The downside could be that there is an extra party involved who Oxilio are entirely reliant upon in order to pay us and who may make extra demands. If Oxilio are not financially independent then they are at greater risk of failure should a big pharma 3rd party pull the plug. This can happen for any number of reasons outside of product test failure. It could be something as simple as a change at the top to someone with differing priorities.

Anyway, that's a worry for another day.

That does make sense. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, Anne appears to be fairly relaxed about it. I doubt she would feel that way if Oxilio were still knocking on the doors of different VC's trying to find the funding that they should have had pinned down when they first exercised the option...at least I hope that's not the case.

The top may be hidden in the clouds at the moment, Filter...and the cable car smashed to bits on the valley floor. However, in troubled times like this I always reassure myself with the thought that, at the very very least, we have a much better website than Ebers!

Hopefully we'll get some good news out of them but let's not kid ourselves, they could just as easily disappoint.

Having endured one of the worst years I have ever experienced with an investment, I don't yet feel the excitement spoken of by the Chairman. I remain a hopeful cynic. Whole BoD's don't just disappear when things are looking rosy. Only time will tell if this part-time board is any better.

There are certain inaccuracies in the Allenby report which suggests that they don't always cross the t's and dot the i's as well as one might hope. They refer to NXP002 as NFX002 in a couple of places. A minor mistake but still something that you shouldn't get wrong in that type of document.

Probably safe to assume the tests are concurrent if that came from the NFX report.

That said, I'd probably also spell check my end of year reports to make sure I hadn't erased all my "Fi"'s.

Maybe there's a bit of an office sweepstake to see who can get the most positions by the end of the year.

Perhaps I wouldn't feel so irritated by this if the share price was going anywhere but through the floor. It really makes you think that they just don't give a hoot.
