I really should be putting my money elsewhere doing some good instead of propping up a dead horse. I think after the results you will see a big sell off if there is rise as IAG will sell some of their stock for profit.

Lloyds, exactly that. I was looking the last 6 months to now, so far my savings have returned more than IAG, in fact IAG is minus about 2%.

I expect fixed rate savings to eclipse 5.5% by year end, as some of mine are now at 4.5% as standard saver account rates.

Despite the ramping, this sp still manages to claw back into the grave...

Sundezena, maybe you are just a ramper? No one knows you keep buying, just what you tell us.

Now that this is at 154ish, please tell us all why you think this will be up 15% on results, or higher. I don't mean "when the results come good, the price will rise", I mean real proof somewhere that shows this will rise.

Anyone can say this will rise, means nothing, the fact of the matter is that this sp keeps falling, there is evidence of that FACT!

What all these ex-spurts forget to add is that the sp actually tanked more than 50% the proceeding months.

Again, these people seem to know less than those invested.

Sund, I don't anyone one on this forum is shorting this sp, I would think most are mid term holders that are now long term holders by default.

DAL down, up over 3% in pre-market now negative.

Anyone thing this sp will go over 165 let alone 170 on good results are deluding themselves and anyone else willing to listen.

As one report clearly stated, majority holders of this share is retail, not big investors. Retail investors, unless they gang up on the shorts, will have no impact on the trajectory of this sp.

So, if you are inclined to ramp this sp, give it a rest. Ramping does nothing other than give false hope to newbies to this stock or those looking to get in.

Skindle, I agree, I think Deutsche Bank may end up the same way Credit Suisse did this year. Time will tell, most of these investment banks are over stretched and at some point the government steps in.

Another 'too big to fail' scenario.

All share buybacks do is let big investors know that the company is not looking to expand, not looking to invest in innovation, tech, staff, auxiliary services, better equipment, more conquest routes (in the case of IAG) etc.

It tells investors that the company wants to use any excess cash to enrich the BoD.

Seems like IAG has become lazy and hope to profit off high short term prices for tickets. This will go by the way side, investors will move on, thus cash for investments will dry up and knowing what we know how WEF, UN, Al Gore and Bill Gates feel about plebs flying, being able to fly anywhere will come at a huge expense if at all.

Mind you, if you are rich enough, you can just say that you offset your carbon footprint when you fly in your private jet and never have to prove it.

This stock sucks more than the British government and that is saying something!

All this nonsense about this share climbing on results day, it will not happen. It may only be a 'couple of pence', but when that happens more often than not it adds up.

Just to put into context, I'm down £7k on 'just a couple' of pence.

Remember, the poor and homeless are virtually non existent to the elites and rich, they cannot impact their lives as they do not have a voice, a vote and are for all intent, invisible.

As you rightly pointed out, the richest country on the planet also has the most pitiful record for treating it's poor.

When the US points to other countries it forgets what is rotting away in it's own backyard.

I too lived in the US, also San Diego for a short period. The best mean temperature you will ever get, the wealth was extraordinary to say the least (not me).

But I can honestly say, it was never that bad in the US 20 years ago, it has gone down, way down.

Also, the scourge has crossed the pond and arrived at Euopean shores, including the UK.

I was watching Hunt and Bailey slap each other on the back last night on how well they (think) they are doing and adding £1k annually to the pension pot will make a huge difference!!!

Sundezena, as much as I appreciate your enthusiasm for this stock, going from today's figure to this years high is another 10% up, to get to 180's that is another 5% from the 173's. I don't see it myself.

Look at AA, they are hitting year highs daily for the past 10 days.

I would like nothing better than for this share to rocket, but with our UK and European governments acting like kindergarteners no big investors are touching European stocks. They are piling their money into the US right now, even though the US have been looking to Europe.

But why jump off a horse that is winning onto a donkey heading the wrong way?

Whilst these figures are good, mostly US airlines will benefit from this surge. IAG and other European carriers will have to share the scraps.
