Western governments pushing ESG means one thing only, they will produce their products in countries far away and claim that they are now 'net-zero'
There is no empirical evidence to prove global warming is caused by man. Causation is vastly different to correlation.
Can any climate 'scientist' prove that humans are the cause of the planet warming up? No. Will they bet their lives on it?
Sure, pollution needs to be halted, plastics in the ocean, cutting down of rain forests etc, these we can manage. But I for one will not live in a cave only to find out in 50 years that we all 'suffered' for nothing and nothing changed the course of the climate.
Sure the planet is heating up, it is on it's way to extinction as all planets do.
I live in a country where we have @1400 glaciers, even this last weekend I was at a lake, hot and beautiful, and yet there was snow in the top, shaded areas, and the glacier was still there.
Is it retreating, yes, but only because we are exiting the ice-age, hence the existence of the glaciers.
Glaciers cannot 'regrow or reform' unless temperatures in those regions go below -20°C and maintained over 6 months with rainfall to add to the formation of ice, it just cannot happen. No matter how cold it gets, if there is no rainfall or moisture then ice cannot form.
We are not in a climate crisis, we are just more aware of global climate patterns shifting. Some places will get hotter and some will get cooler, eventually deserts may even become arable and lush green areas will turn to desert, but the planet will balance out.
We are raising a whole generation of kids that are living in a panic mode of hysteria about things no one can change.
Throwing money at the climate gods will not stop the action. Just make a few conmen very wealthy.
As humans, we would be better off using our skills and time to adapt to the changing climate that is going to happen and there is nothing we can do that will reverse or slow it down. As there is no proof of that.
I'm all for cleaner fuels, but throwing everything at EV's, solar or wind is just plain idiotic. Transition will take time and we need that time. Look at all the $million+ apartments being built on Miami's ocean front for example, does anyone think insurers would touch them? Let alone banks that are funding the builds. This is happening everywhere.
What I am not prepared to do, is go into panic mode, the same way these same shills tried it with the pandemic.
"Stay safe, stay inside" and we will not spread it, how did that work out?
I will not be dictated to by a few loud voices, not while I still have a choice. No one is forcing anyone to drive ICE, use electricity generated by gas or coal to heat their homes, no one is forcing anyone to eat meat, no one is forcing anyone to wear or use items made from petrochemicals. But these same people that are fear mongering and basically eco terrorists want to force their ideology and agenda onto everyone else.
No thanks.
