Conger, with all due respect, that's not the job of all directors. That's the job of the CEO, COO etc. The directors just do a function lead.

As for share options, I know that too. Which is why a lot of companies give shares that are based over three year vested periods, not one year. So, hence the directors don't care.

So, let's assume your view is correct, are you telling me that the directors of IAG are doing a crappy job and that is why the sp sucks?

The company does not care about it's sp, why would it? It's just a number to them, they are getting revenue, paying their staff, making questionable acquisitions (TAP) and of course paying their directors very large bonus's. They have liquid assets so it's all good for them. The only time the sp will impact them is if their is a take over bid coming or the directors want to sell shares.

So much for that perky little rise only to be crushed underfoot like a cheap cigarette butt. Much like my optimism about this sp...

Skindle, have to agree with you. Unfortunately the decay set in long ago, but only now many more are noticing, as they don't care about hiding it. They, in the last three years have seen that they can tell the public anything and the public will nod obediently, like well trained sheep.

As I wrote in a post earlier, the vultures are now fighting over the carcass of a once great lion.

The UK is now merely being asset stripped, much like a company after a forced takeover.

What will remain is anyone's guess.

I suspect many companies will start to de-list from the LSE over the next few months / years.

Trickytree, I have visited St Pete's in Florida, not the St Petes in Russia.

So cannot speak to the life in Russia, but St Pete in FL was nice, a very long time ago when Biden was just a noise in the background.

As for Rishi, cannot speak about that either as I no longer enjoy the benefits that the UK has to offer.

But I will categorically say, not one of them is helping their own people. So simple answer, NONE.

Not a single person I have ever spoken to have ever thought it was a good idea to keep sending money to Big Z, they all agree that Russia was wrong, but also think it was a stupid move to never to agree to come to the table to discuss peace. Now every citizen in Europe, that includes the UK are paying for a war they see as pointless.

I would argue that oil is not the reason for high inflation. Monetary policy is the cause, someone pay an extra £80 per month to fill their car compared to an extra £1000 interest on their mortgage would be the driver. High interest rates are the driver. The BoE is using an outdated method to counter inflation.

I will give and example, in 2014 Oil was $94 per barrel, inflation was 2.4%, interest rates were near 0%.

Right now where I live, inflation is 1.6%, oil price is the same as you pay in the UK, sure we pay more for fuel, like you do. Our Central bank base rate is 1.75%.

Do you see where I'm going with this?
