Seems likely we will hit 140 this week, despite the bail out of SVB.
Markets do not seem to care that much about the bail out, just an opportunity to bail out of stocks and create uncertainty.
For example, how does a tech funding bank tanking affect airlines that are ever flying, maintained by RR Boeing etc and ancillary services?
Just all BS spill over from the US. The US sends its rubbish to the rest of the world just like they did in 2007, then they recovered with a year while the UK and Europe are still scraping the blood off the walls.

Morning bobbins, contagion is the key word here. Tech in the US will take a hit and I suspect the spill over will hit the Uk and Europe, as it always does.
On the plus side, JP Morgan sp went up as transfer to them and I suspect other 'conventional banks' would also gain influx of capital.
I bet there will be a run on certain types of investment banks next week. Lots of over leveraged banks will be caught short on this one. I wonder if anyone still thinks Cramer has a credible voice (BS artist at best) after he claimed on Tuesday what a sound investment SVB was..

I see this going to 140ish, then if we are lucky, start a rise towards the end of the year to finish 170's, we will see the next peak in Feb/March 2024. And so this pattern will continue.

retirement, whilst I appreciate your long term view, Investing is a gamble. Only Bernie Madoff offered a 'sure thing' and see how that turned out.
Don't get me wrong, 'investing' comes from a place of wanting to do better, gambling comes from a desire to 'beat the odds', neither one has a guarantee. If you are getting guarantees, please share.
