I was just making the point that accounting for spreads and taxes, any physical bought over $25/oz is probably still underwater as of today.

I haven't sold physical silver for a long time, but back then dealers would pay 70-80% of spot at best. That's opposed to 98% for gold.

Gold ought only to be bought in physical form. Buy and sell prices are close to spot plus there's no VAT.

Physical silver on the other hand never made much sense to me. Physical prices can be 30%+ over spot plus 20% VAT and then when it comes to selling, dealers will offer you nothing like spot.

I guess if you like the look it it, then that's one reason to stack silver...Although it consumes a lot more space than gold.

Flavius, the world is awash with oil and has been for years. OPEC have now capitulated their previous strategy of production cuts to boost the price; they are now instead committed to supply increases whilst the global industrial economy remains weak and oil demand is tepid.

The "tight oil supply" narrative has been regurgitated all over the oiler boards for 3 years now, usually by very poorly informed people who copy and paste guff they read on oilprice.com and ZeroHedge.

I have yet to see a single shred of evidence that oil markets are tight. Truth is, oil has been in a wider bear market since autumn 2022 and even Middle East flashpoints have failed to reignite a sustained rally.

These flash drops are immediately bought into as a lot of people need to cover.
