The point is how the company led the market into believing prospects were far more rosy than what transpired. You also believed a better outcome would be achieved based on such guidance.

TG2D you're absolutely right. Nanoco's only viable option is a bargain basement sale, unless new opportunities arise, but who would back them at this point with so much historic disappointment?

My biggest issue is over Nanoco's attempts to sugarcoat a massively disappointing outcome when compared with the damage models they presented. That's the issue with leadership.

What you're saying about other cases is probably true Terrorwit but then why didn't Brian and Mike give the market such an indication?

You also believed a licensing agreement would be struck, so you're in denial about your own disappointment. This is unhelpful to you and others on this forum.

It was not just us here who were wrong, it was LOAM and Edison too. You yourself even had much higher expectations based on the clear guidance of the company. Now you deny it all and accuse everyone of expecting to be made instant millionaires. Actually most people just expect honesty from a company, if not success. I don't think that was too much to ask for.

Instead Brian and Co attempted to frame the disappointment as a landmark success.

Now Brian will join Mike on a Yacht and move on with little regard for the way he shafted Nanoco shareholders.

I also think a bargain basement sale will is highly likely. My only hope for Nanoco is that their fully validated IP, which was proven in the Samsung case, albeit to no avail, is exceptionally valuable to someone for some reason.

Perhaps Nanoco have some patents that will enable a big fish to fly to the moon. I'm thinking about Samsung's $70m purchase of QD vision.

$70m would be 27p for us, but it's a baseless comparison. Nanoco have a lot more IP, but how much of it can actually make money? That's the big unknown.

It may all be worth next to nothing.

That doesn't mean it's a surprise at all. It could also mean that he has things to hand over, despite being pushed.

It seems obvious that he failed to commercialise with STM and this is preparing us for the inevitable update to say STM have walked completely, but the new leadership can try to generate some positivity to reduce the backlash. "We have no commercial prospects, but we're new leaders, give us a chance!"

this company is really in the ****. the likelihood is that stm will be discontinued later in the year. now they can blame the outgoing ceo for everything. there are no prospects and now no leadership.

Terrorwit is one confused person. He outlined his expectations of the Samsung legal battle, which included an ongoing contract for Nanoco technology. When this didn't happen and the outcome was really disappointing, he lauded us for being disappointed and tried to claim it was in line with expectations he himself had missed.

Now he's studying climate change whilst flying around the world.

TG2D your assessment is spot on. Holders are waiting for that one catalyst that hasn't arrived in the past 20 years.

I think realistically most are hoping the market will be stupid enough to buy another round of hype about something.

When the Apple Collaboration, legal action and settlement were all announced it created a very temporary spike, which was quickly quashed by inevitable disappointment. Next time, it will be fastest finger first on who can sell at the highest point of the hype.

The fear is there won't be a next time.

The cash gets absorbed in R&D, no further contracts materialise and that will be that.

Nanoco will probably be sold to an opportunistic private equity firm for a few million quid.
