Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
I don't understand why an individual would obsess compulsively over another board and constantly post negatively about this share.
We all get that you are against this share and that's fine it's a free country, you've made that very clear and everyone understands. Please can you just stop now, it's getting boring and feels like groundhog day.
If you're right down the line and the SP tanks then congratulations and take the higher ground, you can then say we should have listened.
Otherwise we are here for a stock with revenues locked up for 2024, visibility into 2025, improved margins due to a new facility, a regular nominal dividend whatever it will be and hopefully some acquisitions along the way. Outside of this it's a company that have a mission and the company serves a bigger purpose - they want to help push quicker challenge trials and eradicate diseases and viruses, you should want this company to do well I would have thought..?
I believe that was for RNS updates below a couple mil (from memory), assume we would still be getting contracts for 5m + that they would want to talk about or even a RNS saying still on track, making progress here and there etc.
Very much a fan of this management team and structure, just want some regular updates and for the world to see
Anyone know why it's been dropping between 2-5% last few days in a row? Leaky news? Seems strange as been a good hold for so long and we are assuming revs of £55m with no update on anything changing.
Some news would be good, just to check the company is still kicking lol. let's get back to the 20's!
I think with the revenues from last report being so low the market has judged the market cap/ SP to be here. I know we sold part of biz off and have cash but it only covers the rest of the debt. What I can understand is a. the high costs (and we have to assume CEo salary etc is a big chunk) b. low revenues compared to what was forecasted (so I assume only a fraction of the facility is being used that was increased last year at a substantial cost) c. the lack of urgency.
I still believe that after being misled on revenues by so much the CFO has to be let go. The same for CEO, he may be great scientifically but that is very different to running a company, and a drop in SP from 250p to 18p says it all.
We need a change, someone to rescue the company and the low revenues. We have interest from big pharma companies and some recurring revenue, but we need to kick on, or we will be complaining for the next 5 years
Having looked further tonight, I have some thoughts. We were told earlier this year revenue for first 6 months was expected to exceed revenue generated in the 15 month period to Aug 31 and that we had an order book of £13m.
Now we see revenues of £1.12m in a lab that supposedly can do 40,000 tests (AFTER being expanded at significant cost) with a high margin. Looks like only a few thousand tests are happening based on the revenues if that (the RNS talks about delayed samples but really that many to make a difference?) so either there is no demand or the new business team is not performing.
This all happened under the financial director and CEO, and no update to the market of considerably less revenues forecast compared to earlier this year. Also Alastair who came from an impressive background and built a lot up prior but we haven’t heard from.
We have what 6-7m in the bank, but it basically just covers the outstanding debt.
The finance director needs to be sacked after this and I think a change of CEO needs to be considered, the foundations are built and we now need to hand over to the right person. There needs to be a clear outlook for the next 12 and 18 months… or we just find a buyer and sell the business to claw something back.
Can't believe the drop, I understand the current revs but from the guidance earlier this year we should still see some good results year end (unless we under deliver there), and with a high margin too. SP doesn't deserve to be down circa 40% today, very unfair.
That being said, we are now considerably less than what we were in 2020. This company has so much promise and is used by so many pharma companies but investors aren't biting. With Alistair coming on board and his experience, I think we were all hoping for some momentum, but we've seen absolutely nothing here. Around the PR too Onc is non existent - minimal updates, zero comms, few events. Perhaps a change of mgmt is needed.
Not wanting to be negative but it's frustrasting. Anways, agree with all your points R00st3R and here's hoping!
I don't post here often, but IMO I'd much prefer a share buy back than a dividend. A dividend won't give that much cash and if over 2k you get taxed anyway.
With a share buy back if e.g. £5m it would buy back around 4-4.5% of the shares, it would create a rise anyway and would importantly reduce volatility and the drops in SP that we see (for reference since Feb when we were at 21 ish pence we have dropped now to 15 ish pence 2 months later), less volume makes it harder to buy shares and gives a bit more stability. Let's see tho :)
Truth be told I think we are where we should be, we have highly promising POLB challenge trials, the initial readout for POLB001 was very interesting in a positive way and we've signed some good partnerships - however we're still in early phases, nothing is in the next phase of it's trial, there is little to no revenue it's all based on potential.
For clarity I am currently out for the most part minus a couple hundred shares. The readout isn't til Q2 so there is plenty of time to get in later on, will certainly be back in this stock in a few months as it has the potential to be a game changer, just need to put my cash elsewhere for now.
Big fan of Jeremy, he says a lot of the right things and looking at Amryt's recent acquisition this could be the next one to go (although I'd rather Hvivo sell atm of the 2 if it ever got there as that's been going longer). Will keep a regular eye on this here and look forward to some hopefully nice readouts down the line.
Sadly still here. The fact this share price is now below 9p is disgraceful.
Disgraceful in two parts, first a company with 50m in revs, spin offs, cash in bank etc should not have such a meagre market cap - with revs of 50m you’d assume a market cap in region of 120-150m surely.
Secondly disgraceful because of how the business has been run, it’s the fault of an over exuberant chairman who made false promises and continually over promised.
A recent RNS on upcoming presentations, what will that do?
I continue to hold because I’m stubborn and don’t want to take on a loss but I’d take a buy out at 20p.
With Alistair just on board and discussions about acquiring in the RNS we can assume we will acquire rather than be acquired Trek?
To make the statement they are looking at options would seem to indicate that companies have been identified, maybe some news in the near future?
This company has so much potential, just extremely frustrating with the wait..
Am not sure truth be told.
Very quiet times though, nothing to report on, minimal trades. Assume the team with Alistair now involved are pushing ahead. Would be great to see some momentum post Summer!
Still here and holding (avg about 1.30), annoying but not concerned.
ATB
I have been here since 11p about 2 years or so ago (avg 22p). I like Mo and hope he buys, he seems to be much more down to earth which is refreshing. I was going to get out at 40p and got dragged into the now wild exaggerations about spin offs which is why I then stayed as I justified any drop in SP with the shares in the 4 spin offs.
I am interested to see what the direction is post H1 results and importantly the margins, the market is clearly not listening but this is AIM so what do we expect, my only issue is how long will it take? You would hope something is going on in the background and a US listing might cause a wake up (be cautious however as DDDD listed and it did not go well albeit with cash flow issues).
Personally I am happy to hear from Mo and Jeremy only moving forwards, I think Cathal was good to generate the PR buzz especially during Covid, but it's very clear that he is out of his depth- how many false promises/ wild exaggerations did we hear from the Chinese buying, to dividends, to US facilities, to spin offs with DIM etc by end of last year and look at the SP now.
The company has a great vision and I really like that they are contributing to something good. For now we wait, I don't check the SP often now unless there is an RNS but view this as a 24+ month wait to get back to what is once was (ie in the 30's), I hope I am proved wrong!
Very excited for POLB001, could be huge.
The SP drop is painful, surprised that the news last week didn't push it up but the market is what it is.
AM looks to be a great appointment - why would a CEO who was on $8m plus at Syneos join Onc if he didn't think there was potential. It's not like he needs the money and I assume his salary here (albeit with stock options?) is a fraction of what he got previously.
Definitely a LT hold due to the drop, I do wonder who we will potentially target acquisition wise.
As for the funding, it's a good q from Trek. We had that raise at a premium last year, maybe via family office?
Here's hoping for a good set of numbers hopefully soon!
I wouldn’t say potential issues, we know the Germany lab is running at full capacity, a number of top pharma have contracts and keep renewing but a lot of them were March/ April so maybe the next batch arrive 6 months later?
That being said lack of news is questionable, new funding, new appointments, restructure? Hopefully we get some news soon. We know of the potential and I’m happy to sit, wait and almost forget about it, the question is just for how long.
Big swings on 1-2 trades a day is bizarre, but just the market playing it’s games?
Fingers crossed for news soon
Looks like UBS have increased to 5.42% from the recent RNS?
Not sure what is going on here with UBS and the SP.
I have still held throughout (although should have top sliced above £2!), just a waiting game.
Any thoughts from anyone?
Very surprised at the continued drop, normally this one holds. I’ll abe topping up to slightly lower my average of circa 145p.
Just have to have faith in Adam and the board to deliver the results, looking forward to seeing the next set of financials and hopefully the appealing margins!
theboyg your comment made me chuckle. It's an annoying one for sure, a 1% rise off the news only (although no mention of numbers linked to the approval so maybe why).
Frustrating on all fronts, here and elsewhere. My only comfort here with the decline in SP is that it's group wide, we have a very solid company with a good CEO and that the market is hopefully yet to wake up to Onc. In general I have no issues with holding and checking in and out on updates here as and when.
Agree about sector M&A, you could see pharma or a PE coming in here (but then again you could say that for most pharma companies atm). Speculative I know (and I really don't want to start chinese whispers so sorry!!) but just say there was a buyout, what could the estimate be? If pharma then a buy at £3.50-£4 (or too ambitious?)? If PE then a buy at £2.50-£3 and a big push to achieve multiples?
Hi all,
Sorry been reading the board just never posting.
A great RNS this morning followed by one that just came out about Dr Adam purchasing £10k worth of stock. Whilst not a huge amount it’s a great show of confidence.
Market still seems to be asleep on Onc (fine for now!), I wonder what it will take to cause an awakening, asset sell off next year, acquisition, US listing?
High margins, fantastic offerings, a cracking mgmt team. I know it’s not going up as we’d all like but I couldn’t be more confident in another company on AIM.
I don’t post often, more just read and usually by the time I post the points are covered so just a big thanks to everyone who posts on here, always very welcome to read the insights and news and a much nicer board than others. Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas (keep safe!) and hopefully this time next year we are all toasting accordingly.
R00st3ER Ona separate note I see you are also in Orph. I’ve held since my 14p days (avg about 24-25p now). Surprised SP is still fairly low given the revs and spin offs, another one to wait on but zero concerns (I just wish Cathay would give realistic timeframes!). Apologies all for posting here about Orph I just wanted to give my 2 cents on it without replying on a very toxic and unrealsorix Orph board.
