The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Napthman - I first bought shares in 2018, but since August 2020 I've bought considerably a lot more in chunks with proceeds from several old companies pensions I moved into my SIPP over a 5 month period and one just a few days before the Scally results in January. So most of the purchases were in the 20's and one in the 30's, and with the SP current level it has meant the larger drop in my SIPP has wiped out the profit in my ISA (from my 2018 purchase).
SD has had a share if criticism from some members on here and people are entitled to their own opinions.
I also appreciate that a lot of LTH's, including myself, had total faith and respect for GH; but after listening to SD on the podcast today and watching him on the last few interview and the Investor Meet last week then I think he is the right man at the GGP helm. His experience and especially his tenure at Northern Star is IMO the sort of career pedigree you want in a CEO of a company you are invested in.
It' been a tough 7 months for all invested and I'm actually down on my investment in GGP, but I'm confident in his plans of where he wants to take the company and certainly happy and have patience with my investment in GGP.
There's many of you on here getting dragged into threads by the trolls and you should know better than to keep feeding them.
Just ignore them and stop giving them replies that only causes their ego to expand and the thread to drag on.
Sllagging them off on here is childish and petty and it's actually part if their modus operandi to get attention and break down the board with pointless threads.
Mr Codders, if you're suggesting people just sit back and wait then why do you post so much on the GGP bb ?
Shouldn't you take your own advice and not get embroiled in 'silly' threads on a bulletin board, and actually just sit back and wait ?
There has been much whinging over the past 3-4 months regarding our 'new' CEO - to 'II' focused, no skin in the game, bad communication, etc, etc. Yes the SP has went down and hasn't done much since he took over, but you have to look at the overall market and actually a lot of the other known AIM juniors have went down and/or stagnated also; so the current SP is not the fault of the company or Shaun, it is what it is due to market conditions.
In todays live session, Shaun has delivered the highlights of the corp presentation, answered all the questions clearly and stated the goal of the company. I thought it was a truly professional delivery and the man knows the industry, the investors he wants to attract, the assets we have, how to work with our partner, appreciates the great thinking of Callum and where he wants the company to be in the future.
IMO, there is a clear strategy he wants to take, he is focussed and there is no confusion on where we are heading; so I do not see why there should be anyone on here whinging about him from now on.
Totally agree with WF that Antipa will need a JV to develop Minyari. With the Havieron JV then that's where Greatland have an massive advantage over most (practically all) the other junior players in the region.
We are just over 2 1/4 years into the JV but look where we are:-
16 out of 16 great drilling results at Hav
Inferred MRE announced approx 1 1/2 years after NCM started drilling
Box cut completed
Mine officially named Karlajartu
Infrastructure works and decline to the ore started
PFS and updated MRE within the next 2-4 months
Except for the drilling results and maybe the inferred MRE, then generally you would expect the rest to be probably at least 5 years before being announced/started, yet we are now so far ahead. Also bear in mind the original Hav JV agreement was for over a 6 year period, so you have just got to appreciate the speed at what NCM have gone at this to get the ore out of the ground and get it to Telfer.
IMO, I would say we are years ahead of the rest of the junior players in the area and therefore (hopefully) should be years ahead in seeing the share price return great rewards to us all.
My crystal ball is currently at the glass polishers getting a clean up, so therefore I can't tell you how long you'll live for; but I do know that at my age then I'll be (very) long gone before they start talking about completion of the mine and reparations of the site.
..... But I don't need the crystal ball to tell me that you should have substantially benefited from GGP if you've been invested since 2017
Any reason for a complete new thread titled the same as the other thread and for a similar reason.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I see Greatland as a sleeping partner and therefore it does not matter if they are on the plaque or not.
to quote from the other thread:- "it makes no difference to me if Greatland are on the plaque or not; what makes a difference is that hopefully we don't get bought out by NCM or anyone else and we can all enjoy the wealth that should come when GGP are reaping in the 25 or 30% of income from the processed gold and copper (and any other benefit from the ore)".
And as I've stated in previous posts; it is my opinion that NCM will be happy with their 70/75% of Havieron and know this will feed Telfer for many years to come; there is no need for them to buy GGP.
I don't know what the kerfuffle is about not having Greatland's name on the plaque. Newcrest are managing the whole shebang at Havieron and we are technically a silent partner, there will be no contractors names either. Also, NCM handled the negotiations with the Martu people - as they had a cultural team already on board; so the plaque is to signify the mine but also to give a huge part of cultural respect to the Martu People and their lands; and also show the importance of what is being established there - and that maybe the practices and actions of miners and Australians/Westerners from the historic past are now laid to rest and in the modern day there is respect to the historic land owners, the wildlife and the environment, it will not just be a massive hole in the ground.
Makes no difference to me if Greatland are on the plaque or not); what makes a difference is that hopefully we don't get bought out by NCM or anyone else and we can all enjoy the wealth that should come when GGP are reaping in the 25 or 30% of income from the processed gold and copper (and any other benefit from the ore).
An additional point for all LTH's; I'm sure that many never thought for one minute that when the JV was signed with NCM in 2019 then there would be no plaque stating Havieron is a mine for at least 5-6 years !! What a fantastic result the JV has been.
Jambo - Yes, they released an Initial MRE in March for Red Chris which came as a surprise but maybe the announcement was for tactical reasons due to market conditions and/or their SP price. In mid March their SP was floundering around the $24 mark (AUD), after being at a high of $38 in August.
On the chart, You can see a steady decline over the period from August to March, and after that 'out of the blue' announcement the SP started a steady increase for the next few weeks; so IMO I think it was a tactical move to bolster the SP.
TMT - Good post and good to hear someone doing something worthwhile in life and helping others.
Obviously losing your wife is a devastating life experience and as you say you will probably never get over that but you look to have the positive mental thinking and a determination to make the rest of your life worthwhile for the memory of you wife.
Harsh as this comment may sound then 'life is for the living' and although it's difficult to get over traumatic events we all or will experience in life then you have still got to grasp the nettle and try to make the best out of the rest of your life.
I'm sure that's what your Wife would want for you and she would be proud of your path ahead.
Best of luck with your travels and I hope you get fulfillment and a sense of achievement in reaching out to help others, especially those who are not as fortunate as other in life.
Not thinking correctly I actually took off the 400m of cover and got the sum wrong as 2x ESB is about 880m and I did say at least two - ok it's at least three then; Didn't want to come across as overly rampy - lol.
... and I've now added in the Eastern Breccia:-

Just in case some people struggle with a sense of the scale of Havieron:-
Strip away the permian cover of 400m and imagine standing on the top of at least two Empire State Buildings stacked on top of each other to get a sense of how deep the mineralisation goes.
Then take the ovoid of approximately 600m x 320m and place it on a well known part of London:-
https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=10MBqbiI2HVLM1Fhe0i9nlOHesk6YoLfW&ll=51.556620881751094%2C-0.2795523000000033&z=15
That should give you a rough idea of the scale of mineralisation at Havieron !!
I'm sure there may be some members disappointed by tonights results, but heading towards an updated MRE and the PFS then IMO it's better to have some deep holes proving up the depth of the mineralisation in specific areas than dozens of shallower holes with some that might not give good grades; there's plenty of time to extend the drilling over the course of the year.
With all respect to the opinions on the board, I'm sure Newcrest know what they're doing and know how they want to prove up specific areas over the next few months to bolster the MRE and deliver the PFS. Let's remember they're the biggest gold miner in Australia and not some fly-by-night outfit working in a backwater jurisdiction.
Don't let the current stagnation of the SP overshadow your knowledge or idea of what you're invested. With the results last time and the results tonight then maybe less than expected holes were reported, but we can still see that Havieron is growing - in depth also, and it's only going to get bigger. Add in another strike in the Juri or or one of our own tenements, then the current SP will be well forgotten in 12-18 months time - just some patience is required.
Why buy bitcoins at $36000 in the hope they'll go up maybe by 10%, 20% or maybe even 50%, when apparently you can buy ARB shares at £1.50 and they'll go up 2300% ...... as someone in this thread quoted on the ARB board in March " I have studied BTC Growth and every forecast known to man and the one that fits is 138k with the increased hash and ongoing I see us achievie 500 btc per month @ 138k at 80% taking this and p/e of 25 12 bill mcap or £36.00"
Maybe it is possible that price can be achieved at some point in time but should they be quoting it when the share price was £2.28 and is now £1.50 ?
In my opinion it was a massive ramp and other investors could have easily be taken in by the big numbers. If the poster often quotes to use information from "official sources" and "stick to the facts", then should they not take their own advice ?
...and to think the same poster was slating people on here for mentioning that the GGP share price could be £ multiples in the future (which of course I hope they are).
Everyone can take this post as a 'bicker' but this poster is always quite antagonistic, calls people traders and rampers and puts other posters down across different boards; so sometimes they need calling out.
PLEASE NOTE - I am not saying that ARB will go up 2300% - I'm just outlining the percentage difference between todays price of £1.50 and the £36 the other poster quoted (ramped) on another board - so it is NOT investment advice.
I do find it funny that someone giving stick about TomE and his new Aston Martin was actually on here a few months back saying how he owned (or had owned) an Aston Martin themselves - or am I 'blatantly lying'about that also !!
TomE - I'm not really car guy myself but good to see someone buy something nice from their investment in GGP and have many safe and happy years motoring in it.
Tymers - in my first post in this thread then I included the statem "Maybe I've missed a thread or post with the calculations in them, but I'b be pleased if you could share them again, thanks."; so why would I be lying. When checking back on a small smartphone some things can be missed, and sorry if I have missed it.
Instead of calling me a liar on the board would it not have been easier to quote your post. I will check back tomorrow and apologise again if I'm wrong.
