Our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode with QuotedData's Edward Marten has just been released. Listen here.
Don't you think that an "above board" and "Trustworthy" management might just have mentioned this, after all it is RATHER significant even according to them.
To be honest if they are hiding this type of information what else has not come to light? -how much deeper actually IS the payzone?
I am not invested but this clear hiding of key information must be a massive red flag to anyone invested.
Did the BOM inform everyone that they had stopped payment in July 2023?
No coincidence that just before productions starts, that this is engineered into suspension, followed by a cheap buy out. The big boys make all the money and the private investors lose everything.
Get your money out now whilst there is still a chance.
I think those waiting for 4.6p bottom may be too late
I too was looking to get in around 125, fortunately I got distracted and so managed to get in at 106. I am not sure if that is going to be good or not.
Bushy missed this one.
Two asteroids, one bus-sized and the other the size of a house, will make relatively close approaches to Earth on Wednesday, according to NASA’s Asteroid Watch Dashboard
Why would anyone take up the placement at 11.2P - I would be renegotiating at least 20% under the current share price, that way I also get a lot more of the company.
I suppose the question is, who are the investors who have potentially purchased the new shares? - do we get to know this before the AGM?
Clearly this placing has been discussed with a potential buyer prior to the announcement, it wasn't some form of hopeful "punt" this morning.
I wonder if we really really needed the cash (though I am sure it will be useful).
It feels that this may have been a mechanism to allow someone to buy in at these prices, not that I am happy with this, but we all live in the real world where big money rules. They then need an excuse to cover this.
This is may be going to an existing holder (Slater?) or potentially to our new partners or someone associated with them.
In either case they presumably have seen value and future potential otherwise they would not have stumped up the cash.
Just tried to buy 100,000 shares and can't get an offer, not even on 50,000
Sorry I though you said they had no cash, and that your bank account was bigger?

Have a look at the SP last time the basket price was at this level - you might get a shock
If it is a buying opportunity ask yourself why the company has stopped buying at this level.
For those of us that held SLP for a number of years, when the basket price was at this level, the SP was much lower than the current price.
In addition, for those looking at the "headline divi" look at what the dividend was in 2018 / 19 and you are basing such a high future dividend on shaky ground with the current FCF.
I am sure I will be accused of trying to talk the price down, but I am more trying to get people to look a few years back for a realistic SP not a few month back and thinking this is a bargain.
Yes, I have sold out all my SLP holdings after it went ex dividend, and yes I do intend to buy back in but it wont be at these levels I suspect, unless the PGM basket shown a sign of significant upward movement.
AS SLP have stated they will pay the dividend as a % of FCF, that is the reason I sold up, as I think they will not change this stance and suddenly pay it out of existing cash, that would not be the prudent way they manage the business. With the fall in PGM price the FCF falls with it.
I thought that the divi was a percentage of the FCF, if the FCF is down then the divi is likely to be reduced. They are using the cash pile to fund the buy back, I dont remember them using the cash pile to fund the dividend before, but I might be wrong
The Rhodium price is looking like falling off a cliff in the last couple of weeks.
Has anyone any views, with the falling basket price if there will be any impact on the future dividend level payment?
I thought that the BOD had tied the level to a % of the Free Cash Flow (but I couldn't find the document on their website)
After the ex date for the Interim divi, I sold out half my holding in view of the falling Rh price (which has fallen much further since) on the basis that the SP was likely to fall (which it has). Clearly the Share repurchase at around the sub 80p level has kept the price from falling lower but if a lower than expected divi was declared due to reduced cash flow this would be detrimental.
If the Rh price start to recover I will be a buyer but the last time the basket price was at this level the SP was lower.
Any views for discussion?
I wonder if they are going to announce each day what they have purchased what they have done (they did previously)? The lack of a daily RNS, does it mean they are not announcing or they haven't made any purchases?
