Carlo Civelli, the founder of Zurich-based Clarion Finanz AG (who sits on the board of Pelleton Resources along with Matt Sutcliffe) has over 30 years of experience in the venture capital and natural resources sector. During that time, Clarion Finanz AG financed hundreds of companies, mainly mining and oil and gas explorers, and at least a dozen of these early-stage investments developed into ~billion dollar market cap companies that are still listed, while others have been taken over by resource majors. Civelli also founded Pacific LNG Operations Ltd. in 2005, which on Feb. 25, 2014, sold its 22.8% interest in a gas field in Papua New Guinea, developed jointly with InterOil Corporation (NYSE: IOC), to Oilsearch Ltd. for $900 million plus further contingent payments. He is a Swiss national and a resident of Singapore.

AIM-listed independent Sunda Energy has entered into an exclusivity agreement with a privately owned Singapore investment company, Pacific LNG Operations, which could fund the planned appraisal well on Sunda’s potentially giant Chuditch gas discovery offshore Timor-Leste.

The shallow-water Chuditch find has mean contingent resources of 1.2 trillion cubic feet of sales gas, with the block on which it sits having a total contingent and prospective resource potential of 3.3 Tcf of gas.

PRESIDENT RAMOS-HORTA MEETS WITH THE JAPANESE PARLIAMENTARY VICE-MINISTER FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS

President and Nobel Peace Laureate, J. Ramos-Horta welcomed the Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Mr. KOMURA Masahiro, to the Nicolau Lobato Presidential Palace. The visit marks a significant step in strengthening the comprehensive partnership between Timor-Leste and Japan.

President Ramos-Horta and Vice-Minister Masahiro held a bilateral meeting to discuss cooperation between Timor-Leste and Japan on infrastructure development, economic diversification, and human resource capacity building.

The leaders noted the growing Japanese private sector investment in Timor-Leste, including projects by Tsuneishi Shipbuilding and INPEX Corporation.

Placing. No placing. Who cares? Long term story is solid and progressing at a pace. Very confident this will deliver in time. Stick with it.

I’m not sure about that. If it hasn’t been signed, very unusual to have the energy minister describe drilling by both companies. A huge gaff I think.

Today, a few concerns have been put to bed. No dilution. No delays. Funding on track and looking good. That’s progress big time.

Malpenn, thanks for providing the link. Just watched and enjoyed the interview. Andy shifting around in his chair as he discusses Pacific LNG. I suspect he was put in an impossible position with the ill thought out FB posts. These proactive interviews are very welcome even if the interviewer has to pretend the questions haven’t been agreed beforehand. Some pretty wooden acting on his behalf. Pacific are clearly partners. The rest sounds a bit messy and we need it cleared up. Other than that, major progress on the test well and hopefully production wells soon after. Any deal which encompasses both appraisal and production would be very special. Not today it seems but happy to wait for the breakout news. Butler doing a great job.

There’s going to be a lot of analysis and positive PR surrounding this update. This is the start of the climb upwards. Day traders will gets their buts kicked.

Board strengthened. Confidence to be looking at new assets. Exclusivity partner joining AB on meetings with ANP and Energy minister. What does that say? Doing well not be swallowed up at this rate. Tiny company. Big future.

Not quite over the line. But very close. The key section for me is : “The Exclusivity Agreement contains carve-outs for several other potential funding partners (the "Other Parties"), some of whose involvement may be complementary in supporting the Chuditch PSC project, not only through the appraisal well but also in future development of the gas in the Chuditch PSC asset. Discussions with the Other Parties continue during the period of the Exclusivity Agreement”.

Future development of the gas is a big statement.
