Baron, the Philippine blocks are a certainty. Not sure if they will impact on the share price due to the long term nature of the contracts. I think a Greater Sunrise decision might be a factor in the funding delay. I know Chuditch doesn’t depend on it but it opens up more options and creates a very favourable environment for anyone wishing to invest in Chuditch. It could seal a better deal. A deal which stretches over a drilling campaign rather than simply an appraisal well. Total guess off course but Greater Sunrise has to be a factor for any prospective investor.

A lot is resting on this Wood Report and Woodside’s reaction to its findings. Expected to be published next week. Very positive soundings coming from both camps. Massive shot in the arm for Sunda if a resolution is achieved.

That’s the most positive thing I’ve read. Might finally be heading to an agreement. What a huge upside for Sunda if so. All eyes on the next two weeks for that Wood report.

His Excellency Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Francisco da Costa Monteiro, met with Julie Fallon, Executive Vice President of Woodside to discuss the latest developments in the Greater Sunrise project and Timor-Leste's preferred approach of processing gas domestically through a Timor-Leste LNG (TLNG) facility.

Woodside executive expressed the appreciation for the recent TLNG workshop in Sydney with TIMOR GAP, E.P., which explored joint opportunities for TLNG in Timor-Leste. Minister Monteiro emphasized that the TLNG solution aligns with Timor-Leste’s national energy strategy and vision for economic growth, highlighting positive economic models and social impact projections that underlines the benefits of this approach.

In addition to affirming the government’s commitment to this pathway, Minister Monteiro outlined Timor-Leste’s next steps, and invited Woodside and other SJV partners to join Timor-Leste in shaping a strong and sustainable LNG industry on its southern coast.

The meeting reflects the ongoing cooperation between Timor-Leste and Woodside in moving the Greater Sunrise project forward with a shared focus on economic empowerment and sustainable development for Timor-Leste’s future.

These blocks are company making in their own right. Very low tax regime. Big percentage and PXP will do the heavy lifting.

Sounds like we pretty much have won this contract

MANILA, Philippines — PXP Energy Corp., chaired by tycoon Manuel V. Pangilinan, is keeping its hopes up for the possible exploration of two petroleum blocks in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The listed firm and its joint venture (JV) partners earlier submitted bid documents for Pre-Determined Area-BARMM Petroleum-2 and PDA-BP-3, both located in the Sulu Sea Basin.

“PXP is hopeful that its applications for both PDA-BP-2 and PDA-BP-3 will be awarded to the JV soon,” it told the Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday.

The JV, which includes The Philodrill Corp., Sunda Energy Plc (UK) and Operator Triangle Energy (Global) Ltd. (Australia), was said to be the lone bidder for the two blocks.

The applications “were found to be complete, thus qualifying them for further substantive legal, financial and technical evaluation,” PXP said.

In August, the Department of Energy and the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy received three applications for three PDAs during the first BARMM conventional energy bid round.

Meadow. Not saying anything was driving us all nuts. We demanded an update. The rig delay was important to hear. Complete silence was creating a lot of unease. He had to respond.

If I was to speculate on the optimistic front, the report might make a good case for both options. That would generate a new round of negotiations with how best to make the TL pipeline doable and Woodside agreeing in principle to accept this outcome. Pereira seems to be excited about something. I’m just glad this report appears to be coming in on time ,(if he’s to be believed). Meanwhile we wait on our own very important update. Could the outcome of the Wood report impact on our progress?

Woodside won’t engage in any talks unless a strong case is made for the pipeline to TL.

A very odd statement by the interlocutor in the Greater Sunrise talks. Impossible to draw any conclusions from his Trump like tone. Very good to hear Wood report is about to land. Woodside will make their decision based on the report.

We begin the very important plenary debate of our national buget next week. It will go for 13 days until the vote for the OGE2025 is held. But we are also going to deal with another equally very important matter; the development of Greater Sunrise. The study by the WOOD Group that the SJV (Sunrise Joint Venture) charged the group to undertake, will be delivered around the second week of November. Wood group is not to recommend either way ( Darwin or TLNG). But their narratives can influence decision-makers. TLNG is our decision. It is incumbent upon us to prove it is the better way to go. “When there is a will, there is a way” is the adage which now applies perfectly to us. We have been in a long marathon. We can see the stadium now. From here on “failure is not an option”. Let’s be UNITED to win this marathon for the sake of our future generation. TO RESIST IS TO WIN!
