I would imagine, worst case scenario, if we fail to get an outside investor, some rag tag mixture of loans coupled with dilution. The TL government can invest up to 20% of the National Petroleum Fund in petroleum activities. The national oil company, (Timor GAP) can use a portion of the fund to exploit oil and gas fields.

The well will be drilled by hook or by crook. The wait is excruciating. Philippines is nice. Lovely indeed but Chuditch is the entire company in a nutshell.

Our robe wearing CEO did a great deal with Timor Gap which might have saved our bacon. Pity he went and ruined it with the dilution. ENI currently employing the rig and on schedule. It looks good for Q2. Surely we can’t be moving to drill with a cloud hanging over the funding. It doesn’t add up.

The relationship the company has with the government is for me, the selling point. A totally supportive and committed government. Thank goodness for them. The opposition party doesn’t believe in the petroleum strategy. The business friendly, politically stable environment is also critical to Sunda Energy. Again, requires the current leadership in place.

I hope you’re correct. It’s a great couple of blocks. With environmental hurdles and the rest, O&G exploration is mind numbingly slow. The announcement is late. We’re supposed to have signed last week. 😉

It is Five Candles. Worth bearing in mind that AB said the first two years would be seismic studies. A deep water basin. What are we talking about 5-6 years before drilling? A welcome addition no doubt but a long term project.

Silverlight. I, like every other investor am fully focussed on Chuditch. That doesn’t stop me having an interest in the Sulu blocks. A long term project which won’t trouble the share price in the short term but should begin the process of developing the company across the Asian network. Some holders out there might just be interested in reading about the blocks.

The offshore lease in Philippines as we have been already advised has already had a successful drill completed in past. I asked the Q as I have no idea how to val, so is there a tangible $$ val put on that particular lease already? I was informed approx $200M val on that Phili lease already. If we do get operatorship of this permit and around 30% of it u can do the figs, based on our MC its a bit of a win, even tho and inground resource. Other parties that wanted that particular lease as well have now joined forces with us at TEG and completed a group submission to Phili Govt. The confidence level is very high at TEG we will get this lease, shame it’s been dragging its heels for so long but I have been assured it’s close now. Still not in the bag until its officially awarded however.

We wait. But if we get it I would expect some pretty decent interest from majors partaking in developing with us given its history.

I think we should draw some comfort from the fact the ENI environmental work at its Blacktip well (decommissioning) started on time. The drill was delayed due to environmental regulations. Open ended timeframe for completion of the work. Might see an early Q2 Chuditch drill. Again. Assuming it is this Valaris 247 platform. It’s close to the Chuditch field.

On 9th Janaurary, Ambassador H.E. Wang Wenli and Prime Minister H.E. Xanana attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Comoro Substation and 150kV Transmission Line Project, which is implemented by a Chinese company TBEA.

Ambassador Wang said that it’s really happy to welcome the "good start" of the cooperation between China and Timor-Leste at the beginning of 2025. Chinese companies have been rooted in Timor-Leste's power industry for many years, who ensures the safe and stable operation of the power system and lights up thousands of homes in Timor-Leste. I wish this new project will proceed smoothly with guaranteed quality and benefits all Timor-Leste’s people.

On 11 Janaurary, Chinese Ambassador H.E. Wang Wenli and Prime Minister H.E. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Pualaca Block 2D Seismic Acquisition Project, which is implemented by the Chinese company BGP Ltd. Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources H.E. Francisco da Costa Monteiro, Minister of Justice H.E. Sérgio de Jesus Fernandes da Costa Hornai, Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Forestry H.E. Marcos da Cruz, Minister of Social Solidarity and Inclusion H.E. Verónica das Dores, and the governors of Manatuto, Manufashi, Viqueque, totaling more than 300 people, attended the event.

The Prime Ministe Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão stated that Natarbora is a space and place to become the center for mining and gas production in the future because it has a large land area to carry out large projects that are defined in the South Coast. The head of the government explained that prior to this decision, the government had decided to carry out the project in the village of Beaço in Viqueque Municipality, but after seeing that the space and land was insufficient and already occupied by the community, an area in Natarbora was chosen to become the center for the LNG plant, refinery, petrochemicals, which will be concentrated in the Barique / Natarbora administrative post, Manatuto Municipality.

Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, accompanied by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Francisco da Costa Monteiro, Minister of Justice Sérgio Hornay, Minister of Social Solidarity Verónica das Dores, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Marcus da Cruz, and Secretary of Local Development Mateus dos Santos Talo, launched research on the acquisition of 2D seismic data for the Pualaka oil block. His Excellency the Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources also presented the development of the Costa Sul project, particularly the installation of a gas pipeline to Natarbora based on the technical and commercial viability confirmation by Wood Australia's study. Prime Minister Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão appeals to the community to contribute to the government's policies by offering land for the construction of LNG, petrochemical and refinery plants, which would also provide employment opportunities for Timorese. According to the plan for March of this year, an interministerial team consisting of the ministries of Petroleum and Minerals, Justice, State Administration, Agriculture and Fisheries will conduct a public consultation and collect data on affected areas of the project, allowing the government to make decisions on compensation.

Ribbit, I agree with everything you said. Edge of seat excitement coupled with trepidation as the days and weeks pass. I find those clowns who get their kicks posting share dilution scare stories a bit pathetic. It doesn’t work. Shareholders are mature enough in accepting that things do go wrong. But aware also, things do go right.

PXP Energy Corp. submitted a bid for the exploration and development of petroleum exploration blocks in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

Sources said PXP Energy teamed up with Triangle Energy, Sunda Energy and The Philodrill Corp. for predetermined areas (PDA) BP-2 and PDA-BP-3 which are both situated in the Sulu Sea Basin covering 780,000 hectares and 532,083 hectares, respectively.

An honour to talk, toast and dance with Timor-Leste Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão this week. He declared there was a ‘new atmosphere’ in the relationship with Australia following the release of his Joint Statement with Prime Minister Albanese two weeks ago.
