Very true. I’m struck by these words from Finder Energy on their new appointment. “ Luis brings to Finder extensive experience managing drilling campaigns in Timor-Leste providing us with practical working knowledge to guide our operations in Timor-Leste”

We don't know. We surely couldn't have a Sunda Energy reception for the President without some sort of progress announcement on the Chuditch drill. I am hoping for a breakthrough. At the moment, we are not hearing the words, we are still on course for a Q2 drill. That says a lot. Meanwhile our chief drilling engineer runs off to Finder Energy (not a single congratulation amongst 60 on LinkedIn from Sunda Energy). Not an amicable parting. What is going on?

The discussions Andy Butler was having with the TL UK Ambassador relate to an upcoming visit by President Horta. The last time this happened in January 2024 was to officially seal the new deal with Timor Gap. Looks like Sunda may have a similar involvement this time around.

Consultation Process for Land and Property Acquisition for the Zumalai - Natarbora Highway Project 27 March 2025. The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources ( MPRM), together with TIMOR GAP E. P. through its Infrastructure Unit, held an Interministerial Meeting with relevant ministries. The objective of this meeting was to present the Land and Property Acquisition Plan for the Zumalai - Natarbora Highway Project, which covers a total area of 1,529 hectares. Additionally, the technical team from TIMOR GAP also presented the service mechanism on how to conduct data collection on land and property for the communities affected by the Highway Project.
